Beans or Corn?

31 Mar

Bongo SniffingI decided to do a test the other day. Awhile back I ate a bunch of dried beans. They tasted pretty good, but it took me two days to get rid of them. It was kind of rumbly in my tummy. Recently my person gave me the chance to compare them with something else.

She had some supplies left from her Sunday school class in a bag in her room. Most of it was stuff I didn’t care about, but there was one thing in there that had an interesting smell to it. Not a strong smell, but still interesting. My person must have forgotten it was there.

I waited until my people were out of the house and then searched through her bag and found it. A cup full of unpopped popcorn. I quickly pulled it out of the bag and spread it across the floor so I could taste it at my leisure.

I have to admit that it wasn’t as good as the beans. And I’ll still rank dog treats way above either.

I love both of them. By the way, I miss your comments on my blog. Didn’t you like Marvin Gaye? 🙂

Sweet Kitten, I’m so sorry I haven’t been commenting on your blog. My person has been so busy she hasn’t had time to keep up with our friends lately. She went out of town for classes, then had to do her taxes, and now has homework for her classes. She says she thinks she’ll be caught up enough soon to come back and comment again. I’ll keep on her.

I bet your human thanked you for cleaning out her bag for her AND that you made sure the dried corn was good…:-)!!! I thinkk you did an excellent job Bongo!!!

Penny, I don’t think my person wanted that corn hanging around anyway. After I got into it she took the whole bag to church and left it there.

Bongo, there is never a dull moment with you, is there? 😉

P.S. Popcorn tastes better *after* it’s been popped, except for those skins that stick to your teeth!

Lindy, I couldn’t get my person to pop that corn – so I had to take it any way I could get it.

Well hopefully the heat from your tummy doesn’t start popping that corn! LOL!

Bassetmomma, what “pop” did you say? “Pop, pop, pop.”

Pawsonally I can recommend raw fresh beans, they are particularly tasty. Not sure about corn stuffs, and definitely not corn on the cob, there is a tale on my blog about a pal who had a very nasty happening with that.

Pippa, I think I’ll have to try fresh beans instead of dry next time. They might not expand so much inside of me. It took me two days to get rid of all of them. I was careful with the corn. I only ate a little bit.

Kevin, I bet those pesky squirrels would eat the corn too. Maybe I can lure one in with corn and then chase it.

Bongo you sly dog; when I first read the title I thought this blog was about some new dog food. You know the kind that comes in a hugh sack, but no it’s about popcorn! Did you swallow it whole or just lick it and leave it?

Sandra, I swallowed the corn whole but I left most of it on the carpet. It didn’t taste that good.

eof737, I guess it’s an extra bonus when the food you get into like is healthy for you.

Hawk, I kind of got in trouble – but then my person figured I gave myself my own punishment when everything started expanding.

Sunshine, I save some for my person. That way I figured she wouldn’t be so upset with me.

😀 Cute Bongo, now you know how raw beans and corn taste, maby your person allows you to test the cooked version of it… or do you already know? 😀

Angel’s Whisper, I think the cooked version is better -but I have to take what I can get.

Dianda, I liked the dried beans better than the dried corn – but I think I’ll see if my person will cook me some beans and pop me some corn so I can do another taste test.

Rama’s Mama, I can’t believe it either. I think they owe me some popped corn. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Cupcake, it’s a little rumbly sounding – especially after the T-bone that my neighbor just gave me. Woo woo!

I’m sure treats are better! I must admit though exploring new things is good too, well, as long as they don’t have …side effects!

Marina, the beans had a few effects – out my back side.

We haven’t tried any beans or dry corn, they just didn’t smell good to us. Now that we know what happens we don’t think we will try them:(
