Scratchy is such a copycat. Whenever I go drink water out of my dish he’s right there waiting so he can drink water out of my dish too. He has his own, but for some reason he likes mine better.
Check this out. As soon as I leave my dish he’s right in there drinking out of it.
Well, maybe not right there. He’s a little slow in the uptake sometimes.
There, see. Right there drinking out of my water dish. It’s a good thing he doesn’t drink much. If he did I could die of thirst before my person got around to filling up my dish again.
I’m a little tired of Scratchy always doing this though. Always hanging around me. Always drinking out of my water dish. Next time he tries it I think I’m going to have a little surprise planned for him.

Bongo, our cats drink out of our pugs bowl all the time. I even have one cat who tried to get Shadow, one of our pugs, to lick his ears. Shadow doesn’t quite get it though!

Same deal here Bongo…matter of fact, Moe even stands right in my dish on top of my food sometimes. I go tell Mom, but of course she just moves him & doesn’t send him to Australia or Alaska or someplace very far away from my dishes! You know though, you can go steal his cat toys & get dog spit all over them…Lola

Lola, I’m sure glad Scratchy doesn’t get on my food. I’d probably be so busy eating that I’d eat him too. Then I’d have fur in my mouth. Yuck!

This sounds very annoying, but then maybe he looks up to you so much, he wants to be like you. Not that he can… but as you are a superior being you may consider giving him a break. After a while he’ll be worshiping the great Bongo!

I think that Scratchy loves you and wants to share something with you, Bongo! Awww…..how sweet he is! My brofur cat ‘Shiro’ sometimes drinks water from my dish, too but he does it secretly….I know he does because the water becomes less and less even though I don’t drink a lot.
He might love me, too? BOL! 🙂

Really? Scratchy is actually hanging with you now? I remember when you said he spent his days on top of the cabinets.
But ya gotta know that Scratchy thinks that’s HIS water bowl and is checking to make sure you didn’t drink all of HIS water. *sigh*

I don’t know Bongo, our cat likes clean fresh water, she would never drink out of the water with Newf slobber. Maybe he’s too lazy to jump up and get his own 😉

Lexie and Mica, I think maybe Scratchy likes my water better because it’s fresher. My person refills it more often than Scratchy’s because I’m always emptying the bowl.
