When I take my person takes me for walks she never lets me run up and greet people. I’m not sure why. People always love me and I just love to give them lots of slobbery kisses. When we’re on my trails and people come toward us she pulls me aside until they pass. She only lets me greet them if they ask first.
Today we were on the trails and two people came toward us. My person pulled me off to the side and for a moment my head turned the way she was pulling me – toward the side of the trail and away from the people.
The lady must have seen my head turn and she said something about me being shy. I had no idea what that word meant and I had to ask my person.
Are you serious? It means that? I’m not shy.
Hey lady, you must be confused. I tried to run after that lady and set her straight – and maybe give her lots of slobbery kisses to prove it – but my person wouldn’t let me.
How am I going to let that lady know? Maybe I could rent an airplane. You know, the kind with the words hanging out the back? I could have a big banner flying behind the airplane that says “Bongo’s Not Shy!!!” Then to really prove it, I could jump out of the airplane with a parachute.
On second thought, I think I’ll just keep walking along the trails with my person.
