Services for a Fee

10 Apr

Bongo with the kids from New YorkTwo days in a row! Do people think I’m a guide dog or something? I think I’m going to start up a business. And I’m going to charge a hefty fee for my services.

You know what I’m going to make those people pay me? Loves. Lots and lots of loves. If you don’t give me loves, you don’t get any directions. You can stay lost on my trails. I bet when I come back and find the same people the next day they’ll be willing to give me all the loves I want.

Today I found some kids on my trails that were really lost. I’m not sure how they found their way here, but they came all the way from Westchester, New York. My person says that’s a long way from here.

Those kids gave me lots of loves so I let my person give them directions. She couldn’t give them directions all the way back to New York, but she told them how to get to the top of Sugarloaf. There’s a good view from there. Maybe when they get to the top they’ll be able to see New York and then they can find their way home.

Actually, I wouldn’t mind if they’re still lost on my trails tomorrow because then I can charge them another fee. Lots and lots more loves.

Okay Bongo you’re doing perfect on the trails, now you’re going to just have to prepare yourself in case Timmy falls down the well (ask your person how to handle that one).

Diane, my person says the worst thing Timmy could fall into on my trails is my puddle (if it ever comes back) so I don’t have to worry. Now I just have to figure out who Timmy is. My person told me to ask Lassie.

Pups bring a big world to a place that makes meeting others so much easier. So cool to help others and get the pup love in return.

I could give loves to all the people who work there. Is Wall Street close to my trails?

Confronted with lost people looks like a kind of mission to me, Bongo, and you handle it very well. I’m sure you would make the best guide around and you deserve all the love you can get, even without giving services 🙂

Angels Whisper, I think some of those people get lost on purpose so they have an excuse to give me loves.

Bongo, the German is afraid you are going to get all the Lassie awards…she wants to go out and save something….like maybe save a lizard from a cat – will that work?

    • Bongo

      April 11, 2012 at 6:50 pm

German, I think saving a lizard from a cat will work for a Lassie award. Pretty soon we will have little fuzzy quail chicks here. Saving those from cats gets you a double Lassie award.

        April 12, 2012 at 7:58 am

The German: Hi Bongo. We hear the quails here, too. Will have to watch for the chicks.
Got my Lassie late yesterday during evening walk. Notified a startled bunny pair that a red tailed hawk was swooping down and targeting them. Stood until hawk decided to go away – Those are my little see-every-afternoon field bunnies. Whew. This is such hard work. Nose bump to ya’

      • Bongo

        April 12, 2012 at 5:38 pm

German, you are so awesome for saving those bunnies. A Lassie award goes to you for sure. The first quail chicks usually show up here around the end of May and then through the summer but you don’t see them often. They grow into big quail really fast.

Hey Bongo, you have a mind like an accountant! Bet you are really great at counting biscuits!

        April 12, 2012 at 6:02 pm

Hey Jet, I always have to count those biscuits to make sure I get my fair share.

        April 12, 2012 at 6:33 pm

Exactly, never can be too careful when it comes to biscuits. Hey Bongo, is your human going to the blog conference?

      • Bongo

        April 12, 2012 at 8:40 pm

Jet, I definitely got to make sure I get my full share of biscuits. My person isn’t planning to go to the blog conference, although she says it sure would be fun to meet some of my blogging friends.

        April 13, 2012 at 4:23 am

I support your efforts in getting full share of biscuits… Mom’s trying to see if she can go… lots of biscuit $ for air fare!

      • Bongo

        April 13, 2012 at 12:51 pm

My person says if she did go it would make more sense for her to drive, but it would be a long day on the road. I’m not sure I want to give up any biscuits to help pay for gas – unless maybe she takes me along.

        April 13, 2012 at 8:30 pm

I don’t blame you Bongo, biscuits are precious… during easier times, Mom would have gone, no problem… wonder if they always hold it in the same city…
