Trail Lost and Found

27 Apr

Hat on a rockMy person says that lots of places have a special department called Lost and Found. My trails have one of those departments too.

There’s a special rock at the beginning of my trails and when people find something that was dropped they take it to the special rock and leave it there.

Most people come out the same way to get back to their car or their house. Sometimes they find what they dropped at the Trail Lost and Found.

But sometimes the people are just as lost as the thing they lost. Sometimes they are lucky just to find their car and when they do they are so happy to have found it again they go right past the Trail Lost and Found without seeing their lost stuff.

I’m not sure what to do about this. If too much stuff piles up in the Trail Lost and Found the wind is going to move it to a new place and the Trail Lost and Found will be lost until we find it again.

And if we don’t find it soon enough a pack rat might take all the lost stuff to pad its nest. Then we might never find the Trail Lost and Found and it will be lost forever.

I think I’d better do something about this. I could get rich while I’m at it. I’ll stand guard at the Trail Lost and Found until the lost people come and find their stuff. Then I’ll charge them lots of loves for guarding their lost stuff until they found it.

Alexander and Penny, it’s important to make sure the right people get their stuff. Lost and Found guarding is important.

You are a great guard dog Bongo – but I know you are just doing it for the loves you are going to get!

Very cool idea about the trail lost and found–it’s a sweet system. As for guarding the stash, you look like a sweetie Bongo, so I’m sure you’d be fair about things. It’s nice to find your blog, and I look forward to reading more posts! I had to log in with my twitter account, as our blog is a self hosted WP site, so if you’d like you can find me at http://www.lifewitharie.com

Monica, I do too. I could be in real trouble if I don’t get my loves soon.

Bongo, you can turn your paws to anything. You’re so resourceful, watching over lost things and getting loves in return, that’s making it so sweet 😀

What a great idea Bongo! What happens come night time though when your missing your warm comfy bed? LOL! Just sayin’……

Bassetmomma, I didn’t think about that. I guess nobody’s on my trails then anyway, so maybe I can lock the stuff up until morning.

What a great idea. I hope everybody finds their lost stuff. Is that a sweet little Dora the Explorer hat on that rock?

    Love and licks, Winnie

Winnie, that is a Dora the Explorer hat. It’s gone now, so I hope it got back to the right person. I didn’t make it there on time to get my loves.

What a good boy to guard the stuff at trail Lost and Found, Bongo! I’m sure those people who find their lost stuff would be very grateful to you! 🙂
By the way, what is the green box standing next to the rock? Looks like a mail box….no?
Bongo, could I ask if the ways on your trail are complicated? like a maze?

    • Bongo

      April 29, 2012 at 2:28 pm

Kevin, that green box actually holds bags that people can use to pick up their dog’s poop. It’s a good idea, but only a few people use them.

I guess my trails are kind of like a maze. There are different branches of the trail that all come back to the same place eventually, but they confuse some people. My trails also connect with lots of different trails, so we can hike to lots of different places. Usually my person and I just go out for about 20 minutes, but sometimes we take a longer hike to one of those places.

    Hey Bongo, Jet here.

You really need to apply to Scooby Doo Academy’s Entrepreneurial Program, you’re a natural!
