Is this Art?

28 Apr

Bike RackWhoa! What’s this? It wasn’t here yesterday.

Is it some kind of gate? Maybe someone doesn’t want anyone to go that direction. They sure wanted to make sure nobody missed it. It’s such a bright color.

I bet it’s some new kind of artwork. There are lots of outdoor sculptures around our town. This must be the latest one.

Or maybe it’s one of those things for kids to play on. You know, like they have at playgrounds. Maybe if some children don’t like hiking this is here for them to play on while their parents go on my trails. Maybe I should start hanging out here. I bet I could get lots of loves from those kids.

I think I’d better check this thing out a little closer though.

I can’t figure out why anybody would want to put a gate here. There’s not even a trail on the other side to block off.

And I think somebody better clear out all the foxtails around here. Those kids that are going to play on this thing might get foxtails stuck in their socks.

Wait a minute! It’s not a gate – or a plaything.

I know what this thing is.

It’s a new message board.

And I get to be the first one to leave a message.

Bongo, could that be a place to lock up bicycles?

Henry, I never thought of that. I’ll have to check and see if I find any bicycles there in the future. Maybe it will take awhile for some bicycles to find their way there.

I’m with Henry, I think it is a place to keep bikes while you hike. Or a a very big giant lost his comb…

Patricia, I saw two people on bikes passing each other on my trails today – so I guess they haven’t figured out that they can keep their bikes there. But I’ll be looking for a giant with messy hair. He might want that comb back.

Hi Bongo…Yes, i believe Henry is right. That IS a Bike Rack, I have seen the new style at our local library. Maybe they are trying to attact more younger kids to your trails. If they do that, you could get ALOT more Loves. Sounds good to me…:-)

Penny, my person said you and Henry are right – it is a bike rack. Funny thing is most people don’t leave their bikes there. They take them on the trails. My person makes me get out of their way, so I don’t get any loves from them. Maybe I should hang out at the bike rack and tell them to park their bikes and give me loves.

Hmmmm….I think that it’s a kind of artwork as the green color matches the nature. BOL! You are very brave to pee on it, Bongo! must be the first one! 🙂

Kevin, I think I was the first one. I’m proud of that, but I’m sure some of my trail friends have followed after me since then.

Way to go, Bongo! The whole world is a message board. It just goes to show that although art may be a marketable commodity, to a dog a post is just a post.
