Messed up Message

01 May

Bike in Bike RackI was heading back from my trails today and getting ready to check for  messages on my message board, and leave a new message for my trail dog friends when I noticed something.

Somebody had left their bike in my message board. I’m not sure why they would do such a thing. I mean, what would happen if a message was left and part of it got on that bike?

When that bike was taken away again, part of the message would be gone. How can you read part of a message? You might not get all the information – or even worse yet, you may think you have all the information and get the wrong message altogether.

What if one of my trail dog friends gets mad at me because he misunderstood my message? All because part of it was missing.

Or what if I miss meeting up with one of my friends because I missed part of a message and turned down the wrong trail? And then maybe my friend would be mad at me because I didn’t show up.

This is serious. I’ve got to do something before all of my trail dog friends get mad at me.

Obviously that person with the bike doesn’t read. I guess I’d better leave a message with those funny symbols that people seem to understand.

    Maybe that’s my bike.
It got stolen today. I could use a good nose, Bongo!

Dianda, I’ll check that bike and see if it smells like you.

Karen, if that bike person realized who’s message board he was messing with, I think he would have been riding off full speed in the other direction.

Winnie, I bet that bike isn’t there when I go back.

Bongo, maybe if you leave a “message” on the bike, it will deter the owner from leaving it there again! 🙂

Laurie, that’s a great idea. I’m going to run out there and do that right now.

Hee,Hee! Let’s just hope they can read!

Bassetmomma, there will really be a problem is they can’t read dog or people messages.

Bongo, why don’t you add a sign that reads, “No bikes allowed on the trail. Leave them at home.” Then you won’t have a problem at all!

Monica, I think those mountain bikers would ignore my sign. It is kind of a pain having to get out of their way on my trails, but at least they don’t mess with my message board.

Bongo, what a great idea to put your own message board on your stand. On the other hand, the bikes could work as a mailbox… Great post, Bongo, lol 😀

Angels Whisper, I thing that bike as a mailbox thing could work if we could convince people to leave the bikes there once they park them.

Alternatively, you could leave a message on the bike and reach a wider audience. Or confuse some dogs who live somewhere else…

Flo, I never thought of that. My message would go wherever the bike went. Cool!

I think you better extend your messages on that bike too! That should get the message through!

Marina, I bet if I left one message on that bike I’d never see it there again. Hey, that’s an idea.

I totally agree with Laurie Flo and Marina, Bongo! You should use the bike as another message board, too!!!
What a great idea!!! Heeheehee! 🙂

Bella and DiDi, do you need any signs in your neck of the woods?

      • Paws To Talk

        May 2, 2012 at 5:14 pm

Yes, we need a sign above our kibble dishes that says refill often. Can you make two of those? 🙂

Bella and DiDi, I’m working on the signs right now.

Bongo, instead of praising Taylor with “Good girl, go potty!”, I think I’ll start saying “Good girl, leave your message!” It just sounds cooler! 🙂 Always great to catch up with you, Bongo!

      May 2, 2012 at 4:58 pm

Jessica, I bet Taylor would like leaving her message around.

Collies, that bike doesn’t stand a chance. I’m on it. I wish all of you lived closer so we could leave a multi-message.

Sunshine, it is a very nice message board, isn’t it? My person says she saw one just like it outside City Hall. I hope she’ll take me there so I can check to see if any of my friends left messages and leave some of my own.

Keep hoping Bongo . . . dreams always come true if we hope and have faith. 🙂
