My person is trying to tell me that my message board really is a bike rack and the bike that was stuck in it really was supposed to be there. But I don’t think so. And you know why?
Because I keep seeing bikes on my trails. If people were supposed to stick their bikes in my message board then why would they still be taking them on my trails?
Today we saw a guy who maybe should have left his bike in my message board. He rolled down a hill and up a ledge full of jutting rocks. He made it up, but when his friends couldn’t do the same thing he went back to show them how.
Well this time he didn’t make it and he got a flat tire instead.
All because he didn’t leave his bike in my message board.
Maybe I should leave a new message on my message board.

Good idea Bongo, but between you and me, humans never listen.

Rumpy, it’s an ongoing commitment trying to train those humans.

Humas where I live actually LIKE riding in places like your trails Bongo, I think they are crazy. Biking is hard enough on a flat surface!

Susan, people like riding on my trails too. We often see bikers on the trail, and hardly any bikes – or tires – ever get left in the bike rack.

How kind of your to make a new sign for the message board. We’re with Rumpy dog. It’s hard to get those humans to do the right thing.

Bella and DiDi, I guess those humans will just have to learn the hard way. They’ll keep getting flat tires if they ride over the rocks.

Bongo, you would have love one trail I was on. There was a short but steep hill with a sharp turn at the bottom, I just watch the bikers crash and laughed.

Cee, I could make you a sign for your message board too. But I guess if those bikers paid attention to the sign it would spoil all the fun.

You have a great sense of humor Bongo…they should leave their tires there…BOL…:-)

Thanks Penny. I could even leave a message in the tires that would go flying everywhere when they get put back on the bikes.

Great post Bongo! Ginger says then you can leave messages on the message board and on the bike! 🙂

Ginger could come over here and help leave some messages.

That is a great public service, Bongo. If you save just one tire, then it’s worth it, right?

Wonderbutt’s person, I wouldn’t want those bicyclists running around flat.

Thanks Monica. I’m not sure if those people on my trails are reading them though.

….”leave your tires here and I will take care of them”, that’s what your sign should say! Trails are for you [and your person] not for tires! [and maybe other dogs and their persons …occasionally]

Marina, all those tires would have a new message on them for sure.

Bongo, you are so inventive and thoughtful again. I hope the people will leave their tires, but maybe you have to hang up a new message-board that you don’t vouch for broken wheel spokes 😀
Bongo

Angels Whisper, I never thought of that. Those rocks on my trails could break up wheel spokes for sure. I guess those people should leave their bikes at home and come out and give me loves instead.

Bongo I think that is a very good idea to help ppl so they don’t have to carry their bike back down the trail w/a flat tire. Course someppl never listen, but that’s their fault 🙂

Lexie and Mica, I gave up on trying to train people. I guess some of them have to learn the hard way.

Your message board should be kept for the purpose you intend it for to leave messages to all your friends…tell them bikers to go park their bikes up a tree….
Bongo
May 9, 2012 at 8:17 am
Patreciau, that’s a good idea. We have lots of juniper trees here with branches that would hold the bikes.

Bongo, you’re so thoughtful to care of those biker’s tires!!! They should listen to you as it’s YOUR trail!!!! 🙂

Kevin, I’m still waiting for all the tires to show up on my message board. But maybe those bikers like fixing flat tires. They’re missing out though. I was planning to leave an extra message on the tires.
