To the Sky

12 Jun

Bongo and SugarloafMy person took me out on my trails this morning. Well, it was sort of morning. She went somewhere and then she came back so it was already getting hot out. But she never takes me on my trails in the morning. We always go in the afternoon, or in the summer when it’s really hot out we go when the sun’s almost down and it’s all shadowy outside.

Everything looks different in the morning. It even smells different.

But I’m still trying to figure out why we went on my trails in the morning.

My person said something about going to Sky VBS later today. I don’t know what VBS is, but I know what sky is and I don’t know how my person is going to get there. I know some people go there in airplanes, but my person doesn’t have one of those.

I think my person might be going a little bit crazy, because not only did she say she’s going to the sky, but she said a lot of kids are going there with her.

I don’t care where she’s going. If there are kids she’d better take me along. Kids like to play with me and give me lots of loves.

What, person? You get to go to the sky with all those kids and I don’t get to come along?

It’s what? It’s Vacation Bible School and it’s called Sky? And dogs aren’t allowed – only people?

Hey person, I don’t care what it’s called. There are dogs in the Bible, so dogs should be allowed in the sky too.

You’d better take me along.

But you are Super Dog! You have to accompany your person! You have to protect her!

Sweet Kitten, I think all those kids would really want to meet Super Dog too. My person would be doing something special for those kids if she brought me.

The whole world smells different in the morning. I think it’s because the day is new and nothing much has happened yet. Not sure why dogs can’t go to VBS. There should at least be a dog hour or something. Everybody would love it.

Patricia, I agree there should be a dog hour at VBS. My person says the kids move around to different stations. There should be a dog station.

I bet you’d be a great addition to VBS. But even if you have to stay home, I’m sure you’ll enjoy those morning walks. Things do look and smell more fresh in the early hours.

Shary, I’ll take walks any time – but right now it’s hot, even in the morning. I guess I’ll have to get my person up even earlier.

Bible school without a dog seems incomplete. Try the sad-face-begging-look. That might work.

Cupcake, I tried everything and my person won’t buy it. I know the kids would love it if I came.

Bella and DiDi, maybe I should get my person checked out. You’re right, she might not be thinking straight because of all the heat.

Sounds like she could use a once over by a Doctor. One of our human sisters gets the same way in the heat.

A good place to be but maybe you would be better staying ay home..it’s not really a ‘dog’ thing. I am not going there either so you can stay home with me and we can talk about trails and smells

Patreciau, I would love to hang out with you and talk about trails and smells – or go on some trails and smell stuff.

Oh, No! Bongo, put your cape on and go! All these kids need protection! I can’t believe she’s not taking you with her. Hmmm come to think of it …does this mean you’d be home ALONE [free translation: sleeping on sofas & beds, food searching etc], well, maybe it’s not so bad after all!

Marina, please don’t tell my person, but I always do those things when she leaves me home ALONE.

Awww….again, those breathtaking scenery, Bongo!!! Yes, I think you’re quite right, we dogs should have a right to learn about bibles like humans do!!!! Why not! Going to the sky sounds fabulous! 🙂

Kevin, my person says she’s having lots of fun in the sky with all those kids – and she still won’t let me come. I may have to come up with a bunch of mischief while she’s there.

O, Bongo, here you go again, staying alone again, while you’re such a good dog,and you could have told the kids so much about the bible, and how to behave themselves by giving them a good example, like you always do 😦

Angels Whisper, I’m not sure why my person won’t let me come. I tell great Bible stories, and I always have perfect behavior – well, almost.

YOu can always have your person tell you what they learn at VBS… and while she is gone take lots of naps so when she gets back you can take lots of walks! 🙂

    God Bless You Bongo!

Collies and Chuck, I hope my person tells me more Bible stories that I can pass on – but I bet I could tell those kids some pretty good ones too, if I just got to go. God Bless You.

You can tell your Mom that VBS is not just Vacation Bible School with Bible stories, but Vacation for Bongo School so that you should go and make all the kids happy too. I’m sure all the kids would love to see a good dog after the stories are over. We know you would be very good.

Lexie and Mica, that’s it! Vacation for Bongo School. My person can’t possibly leave me home when she knows that.

Now that is just now fair…they need to let you go to VBS too. We think you would be a good teacher sweet Bongo. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, I could teach those kids lots of Bible stories. I’m sure they’d love it. I’ve just got to convince my person.
