I found my person in the laundry room and I thought I’d let her have some fun so she didn’t have to work so hard in there. So I got my toy bear and dropped in down in front of her. She was supposed to pick it up and toss it to me so I could catch it. But you know what she did?
I can’t believe she did this. She knows how to play the game. She knows I like to catch my toys. But instead of tossing it to me she took all the guts out of it. Help! My person is killing my bear. I want my bear back. Give it to me now!
.
.
.
.
And then, to make things even worse, she tossed my bear in the washer. Now my bear is not only gutless, but it’s going to drown!
This was really bad. I fretted and worried about my poor bear the whole time I heard that washer going round and round. My poor bear. I can’t even imagine what it was going through.
That washer finally stopped and my person got my bear out of there. But she wouldn’t give it to me right away. She did something to it first. She wouldn’t let me see what she was doing.
Finally, my person tossed my bear to me.
It’s about time person. I wanted you to do that a long time ago.
Hey, my bear’s talking back to me. My bear hasn’t been able to talk for a long time. He’s making that squeaky sound that I love.
Hey person, I’ve got a few more toys that want a ride around in that washing machine.

i Bet your Bear toy smelled really good and clean and now that he even has a squeaker too, Im sure your even happier now.
So sorry that your bear was temperarily GUTTLESS…LOL, but it was the humane thing to do.

Penny, that bear smelled too clean so I’m working on putting the good smells back on it. But it sure is nice that it squeaks again.

How funny!
Poor Elka’s poor stuffed toys don’t last long enough to go through the washing machine.

Jen, I chew my toys up sometimes, but mostly I just like to catch and squeak them. I’m afraid I’ll run out of toys if I chew all of them up.

What a riot you are Bongo! Hope you understand my intermittent visits. With 5000+ emails, you are one of the lucky alphabets as the middle letters almost see no light… I changed it all today; no more notifications. Have a Happy Father’s Day! 🙂

eof737, I guess I am lucky to be early in the alphabet. My person thought she had a lot of emails. Glad you stop by when you do. My person has been so busy she hasn’t had much time to stop by my friend’s blogs either. She thinks (hopes) she will be less busy in a couple weeks.

Your’re right Rumpy. It’s so frustrating sometimes. I’ve been working on it but it still has some of that clean laundry smell.

I understand your concerns Bongo. My toys are always getting tossed in the washer & I just don’t like the way they smell when they come out! Then you’ve got to drag them outside & slime them to get them just right. Mine are always going to the “fix ’em up machine” getting their faces stitched up & then they just look weird… I’m glad your bear squeaks again though – that really drives persons crazy after a while! Love ya, Lola

Lola, I’ve been working on getting my bear right again. But the squeak is really nice. My younger person hates it when I squeak my toys – so I make sure I do it a lot when he’s around.

Oh, no sweet Bongo your bear got put in the washing machine!! We sure are happy to hear he came out okay and is squeaking again. Chancy get real antsy when his buddies go in the washing machine. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy, I don’t blame you for getting antsy when your buddies go in the washing machine. You never know how they’ll come out – or if they will at all. And then you’ve got to start all over getting them to smell right again.

Patricia, I’m not so happy about the bear’s bath – but the squeak transplant sure is cool.

Oh that must be how Linus feels when his blanket gets taken away for a washing up. Bear is as good as new now, though Bongo. Maybe better…sturdier anyway. Your person’s got your back! 🙂

Nanina, Linus must be one of the few people who has any sense. Why wash a perfectly good smell away.

Hi Bongo!
This is Ginger! Dont you just hate it when the humans get it right? The only recourse is to make sure that Bear squeeks all night long so your person never forgets that if you dont get immediate gratification life will be hell all night! That will get results… hehehehe
Bongo
June 16, 2012 at 10:51 pm
Ginger, if my bear squeaks at night my person will take it away and hide it. I just can’t win sometimes.

Oh…poor bear toy…..I’m worried if he didn’t feel dizzy while he was in the washer? What did he say about Bongo?
Bongo
June 17, 2012 at 12:41 pm
Kevin, maybe that’s why my bear squeaked so much after he got out of the washer. He was trying to squeak out the dizziness.

Hey Bongo, Jet here.
Dude, say it isn’t so… your person made you watch? On the other hand, said person did what had to be done to make sure you can enjoy Bear for a longer time… hmmm… I’d make person promise to display more “sensitivity” next time… or have a heart-to-heart and let you know that bear needs a bath next time and your person is taking care of that for you… On your side, I have to agree with other commenters… know that your person loves you to pieces and would never take your Bear without a good reason!!!
Bongo
June 17, 2012 at 12:42 pm
Hey Jet, I know one thing for sure. I’m not dropping my bear in the laundry room again unless he stops squeaking.

Bongo
June 17, 2012 at 12:44 pm
Dianda, I’m for sure not leaving my bear in the laundry room again – until he needs another squeaker. My person won’t replace squeakers until she washes my toys. I guess I can’t have both the right smell and squeakers that work.

Once my dogs tear a hole in a stuffed toy and start to take the stuffing out, I just throw it away. You’re lucky Bongo. I don’t even buy mine stuffed toys anymore unless they are the Tuffy’s.
Bongo
June 17, 2012 at 12:55 pm
Dawn, my bear is one of those toys that has replaceable squeakers and no stuffing. Sometimes I’m nice to my toys and I wear the squeaker out before I wear out the toy, so it’s cool that it can start squeaking again.

A few good rolls and maybe sneak it outside and your Bear should be back to normal 😉

Misty Shores, I’m trying to figure out how to sneak my bear out the door past my person. She’s the toy police and makes me drop my indoor toys before she’ll let me out the door.

If that machine makes the stuffed animals talk again, we have a few that she could put in there for us before Mom decides they are broke and throws them away. That is really a great machine 🙂
Bongo
June 18, 2012 at 1:50 pm
Lexie and Mica, that machine works great for making the squeak come back – but it always takes the good smells out of my toys and then I have to work really hard to get them smelling right again.

If bear was snuggly warm when it came back to you, it’s because you warm bear’s little heart, Rumpy. ( we all need to be needed)…squeaking is not just your joy?

June 18, 2012 at 2:01 pm
Karen, I never thought of warming my bear’s heart. I guess he was really happy to see me after that washing machine episode.
