Woo woo! Tomorrow is June 22nd and you know what day that is? It’s National Take Your Dog to Work Day. But I think that should be changed to International Take Your Dog to Work Day because some of my dog friends live in other countries.
So person, are you going to take me to work with you? Huh, huh, huh? I’m all ready to be taken to work. I could even help you.
Where are you going to take me? We could go hang out at the church where you work. Maybe I could play with some of those kids you teach Sunday school to.
Or that place where you meet to lead your Bible study. What is that place? That place with all the stars and the bucks? Are those the dollar kind of bucks or the deer kind of bucks? Could you take me there so I can find out? Maybe I could get rich there – or at least have something to chase around while you’re studying all those Bibles under the stars.
Wait a minute! What!?? You’re taking me to work but I don’t get to go anywhere? I don’t get it.
You’re working at home tomorrow? That’s no fair.
Can you take the day off so we can go somewhere?

My person works at home, too, so I won’t go anywhere tomorrow. But I have been to the place with the stars and the bucks. It’s pretty fun. You get to sit in the shade and make friends will all of the people who come to buy coffee. I hope you get to go there.

Lola, my person says she’s not going to the stars and the bucks place tomorrow, but I’ll have to get after her to take me next time she goes. It sounds like a lot of fun. By the way, there’s a Dog Party in San Diego tomorrow too. It’ll be in my post tomorrow.

Aargh! Welcome to my world, Bongo. Mom works at home, too. I wish she was still a 3rd grade teacher. THAT would be the best place to spend the day!!

Poor Bongo……all excited and no where to go. That is definitely not fair! People should take their dogs to work…I used to when I was manager at a gas station. I took Tramp Dog and Spot Dog and they slept all day under my desk. Tell your person that working at home does not count. If I were you I’d kick up a stink!

Litchi, good idea. I could be a great help to people. Just today my person was at a photo session for a band that she’s friends with and one of the guys said I should be there in the pictures. I would have livened things up for them.

I go to work with tall person every day Bongo. It’s not far – he works from his office at home 🙂 We also work together on our walks through our neighborhood – that is one big office! 🙂

Maybe you are even luckier Bongo. Work places usually aren’t much fun you know… For our dog, this is every day. I take her with me to my little workshop [in a small shopping mall] but I see her a bit reluctant to leave the house lately… She’s missing the home comforts of the sofas I guess!

O, Bongo, I know you’re a little dissappointed. Nothing is more exciteting then going to another place and seeing different people, but your person works at home on that special day, that’s sad. But don’t give up hope, maybe she’ll surprise you anyway on this special day 😉

I’m sorry that you didn’t have any occation to go to your person’s working place as she worked at home yesterday, but wasn’t it much better…no? I wish my mom worked at home sometimes, then we could spend much more time with her…….

Kevin, it is nice having my person at home most of the time. Especially since she says she wouldn’t trust me if she took me to a work place. I don’t know why. I’d be good.
