Beginning and the End

07 Jul

Lucy and BongoMy time on my trails was uneventful today. Well, sort of. We didn’t meet anyone on my trails. It’s been hot here so not many people and dogs are going out. But stuff did happen before and after the trails.

My person and I were still in my yard, heading out to the street that goes to my trails. And along came three dogs and a person. It’s the person who knew my name before I met her. She must really like my blog because she’s been bringing her dogs by my house.

But our people won’t let us meet. Those dogs and I keep yanking at our leashes but our people won’t give.

So I headed to my trails disappointed because I didn’t get to play with those dogs, and I didn’t find any of my friends on my trails.

Our walk was over and we were heading into the parking lot when I saw her. I hadn’t seen her in a very long time. My girlfriend Lucy!

But Lucy was stand-offish and didn’t want to play with me. Disappointment on top of disappointment.

Oh no! What if she heard about LeighLa, my other girlfriend? My friend Sweet Kitten warned me about having two girlfriends but I didn’t believe her. I thought it would be okay.

What do I do now? They’re both my favorites. This is serious disaster!

Help! Somebody please give me some advice.

Sweet Kitten, I don’t know what to do. It’s so hard.

you are lucky to have a choice….now what I would do is marry one and keep the other as a spare!

Are these two girls friends of yours or are they something more? You can lots of friends–even girl ones–but only one who is something more. And you have to be clear and upfront with all involved. Life can be tough.

Patricia, they’re the only girl dogs I know who will play with me, so they’re both really special.

Aw, Lucy is just playing hard to get! You’ll be buds one day (….maybe)

Jen, Lucy used to always act like that around me until she got to know me better. Do you think she’s forgotten who I am? That would be horrible.

Lucy might have been having a bad day that had nothing to do with you. I wouldn’t worry about her stand-offishness unless she keeps acting that way. I know I haven’t felt like myself lately with all of the loud noises every night, so maybe she’s just tense. Just keep being your friendly self and she’ll probably come around.

Lola, I sure hope so – but if she doesn’t I might have to come visit you.

Ginger says give them a treat when you see them… they will be putty in your paws!

Ginger, thanks for the great advice. You always think of the greatest things. Oh, you mean I have to save those treats and not eat them myself?

Maybe you should get both of them together and you could all be friends!

Bongo let your person know I received my package today and I really appreciate it, I can’t wait to share it with the kids. Thank you!!

      July 7, 2012 at 8:39 pm

Misty Shores, that might be fun – the three of us playing together – unless they played with each other and ignored me. My person says she’s glad the package came so quickly. I bet the kids will love it.

Bongo, it’s 2012, the world is upside down, everything is open and allowed now, that means you can have both of the girls… the question is: will they accept it. Good luck! 🙂

      July 8, 2012 at 2:19 pm

Angels Whisper, I’ll have to work on that accepting it thing. I’ve got to figure out how to convince them.

If she’s playing stupid games then tell her to get lost! Either she’ll come back tail wagging once she realises what she’s lost; or she was never worth wasting time on in the first place.

    • Bongo

      July 8, 2012 at 2:19 pm

Bones, I know she can’t resist my charm. I’m sure she’ll be back wagging her tail and playing with me.

What about asking them how they feel about you? As a steady boyfriend, or just a boy friend? You can decide what you should do after that!!! Hee hee hee…. 🙂

Kevin, I’ll do that next time I see one of them. I’m sure neither of them would want to lose me. I’m such a charming guy.

Susan, maybe I should play hard to get too. Then she’ll really want me back.

Dianda, I hope some little birdy doesn’t spread the word. I think some of those birds on my trails are spying on me.

Jessica, maybe if Lucy is jealous it means she still likes me after all.
