Official Trail Guide

19 Jul

Bongo Leading New Friend on the TrailsWoo woo! I’m official now. I’m really an official trail guide. I got to lead my friend who came to visit me on my trails today. I made her hold on tight to my leash so she wouldn’t get lost.

But I had to have a lot of patience with her. I tried to run so she could see as much of my trails as possible before it got dark, but whatever I did, I couldn’t get her to run with me. I kept having to wait for her.

Bongo Looking Back

I showed my friend where all the good smells are. I tried to get her to check them out for herself, but she just wouldn’t do it. I can’t figure out why. She’s missing out on the best part of the tour.

I wanted to make sure my friend got the full Arizona experience, so I made sure she brushed against some cactus.

Prickly Pear Cactus

I’m not sure why it’s so important to people, but my person said to make sure I took my new friend where she could see lots of red rocks, so I even took her to see the best scenic views.

Sedona Red Rocks at Sunset

But I seem to be having a problem now. My official fee for giving tours of my trails is lots of loves, but I wore my new friend out so much that she doesn’t have any energy left to give them to me. Next time I give a tour I’m collecting my fee in advance.

Definitely collect in advance. You just can’t trust Debtors these days. They’ll push for extended payment terms every time!

Susan, I think maybe I should collect before and after. After all, the more loves the better.

what a responsible job..Official Trail Guide, so now you are an OTG. and didn’t you do well. Maybe you should ask for a deposit before the Trail , just in case you don’t get paid at the finish. Maybe this lady will pay her dues just as soon as she has recovered…… LOL..that means Lots of Love

Patreciau, I sure hope I get my payment because I like being a trail guide, but I like loves better.

    The rocks are fabulous.
Maybe your knew friend will pay in installments, and that adds up to more loves in the long run…

Delft, more loves are always better. I’d better go collect my payment soon though, before my new friend goes back home.

    Hey Bongo, Jet here.

A fine job you did, dude. Remember, those biped humans, sometimes cannot keep up!

Hey Jet, maybe I could rent some extra legs to the people on my tours so they can keep up with me.

Maybe an “I O U lots of loves” is in order?

Karen, I think I’ll make her write that I O U on a cactus if she doesn’t give me my loves soon.

I hope due to late payment of fees got the original promised you got additional noms and goodies until she could pay her ‘lots o love’ debt once she had recovered? The noms would have worked a bit like a prepaid interest??

Dalton, Noms for interest sounds good to me. I’ll have to suggest that to my new friend.

I think you should! And demand extra now she has been hanging around with that other church dog!

Dalton, you’re right. My friend has kind of been two timing me with that other dog.

Bongo, I think you have to slow down, to be sure you get your love-fee 😀

Angels Whisper, you mean if my friend can’t keep up with me she won’t give me loves? I guess you’re right. It would be hard for her to give me loves if she’s way behind me.

I have a feeling your friend will catch up on those loves as soon as she can. She owes you a ton of them. The tour was very extensive.

Cupcake, I thought my friend would like the extra special tour, but I guess I wore her out.

We, too love the red rocks picture! In face, we’d love to see them in real someday!!!
I’m sure that your friend wanted to give you lots of love but she just felt too tired to do so…..hmmmm…collect before and after sounds a great idea as you can get at least two loves, Bongo! 🙂

Kevin, I’m going to remember to get loves before and after from now on. I sure hope I can give you a tour of my trails sometime.

Definitely get a deposit and maybe something at the halfway point. Maybe with a little rest and loves time at mid-tour of the trails your guest won’t be so tired when you are ready to collect the balance.

Patricia, that’s a great idea. I could even offer treats during the break. I wonder if my new friend likes Milk Bones?

That is a good idea to get our fees in advance. You sure showed your friend a whole lot of your trails.

Misty Shores, I think my friend wished I hadn’t shown her so much of my trails – but I had to give her her money’s loves worth.

You should always insist on payment up front Bongo, or at least a substantial deposit 🙂

Great Job Bongo! Ginger says take their money first then tell them Timmy fell into the cactus and shove them in and leave…. sigh…..

Ginger, usually you have such good advice, but I’m going for the repeat business so I’ll have to pass on following it this time. I think I’m turning into Business Dog Bongo.
