Hose Jumping

09 Aug

Bongo in the air jumping for the hoseMy neighbor is the best. He plays with me and runs his hose just for me so I can jump up to drink the water. This is one of my most absolute favorite things to do.

Actually, I want to put in a good word for gardens because for some reason when people have them they get their hoses out more often. I’m not sure what it is about gardens that make people get their hoses out, but I sure have great fun when they do.

Sometimes I catch all the water in my mouth when it comes out of the hose, and sometimes it’s just fun to jump after it. Someone once called me the happy jumping dog. I guess this is why – I love to jump. And when there’s water involved it’s all the more fun.

Back to my neighbor though – I’m not sure what kind of water is coming out of his hose, but there’s something really strange about it. It’s making my eyes glow.

Bongo's eyes glowing

Penny and Alex, jumping is one of my favorite things to do – but the glowing eyes thing is new to me. Especially with two different shades of glow.

That’s an Olympic level high jump if I ever saw one! Hose water’s the best – feels great slurshing all around in your mouth.

Diane and Lola, maybe I should get into the Dog Olympics – as long as they use hose water for me to jump after.

    Wow, laser eyes Bongo!

    • Bongo

      August 9, 2012 at 12:42 pm

Dianda, these eyes should help me see better in the dark. I bet my younger person would like to have eyes like these to shoot zombies with.

It’s radioactive-dragon-water, B!! But it sure does look like fun.

    Love and licks,

Cupcake, it sure was fun but I hope that radioactive-dragon-water doesn’t have a lasting effect.

Wow! You are a great jumper! Maybe the eye glow is just your joy from hose jumping shining out.

Patricia, I usually jump when it’s lighter outside so maybe I just didn’t notice my eyes glowing before.

Wow, Bongo that is really cool You can jump better than any doggie we know. That looks like fun too. We bet those glowing eyes go away very soon, they look kinda cool too though. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, I love jumping. I guess the glowing eyes are just an added bonus.

What a coincidence, just yesterday I have seen a person doing the same with his dog (a dogo If I am not wrong).
It is really warm to see this bond, this happiness of yours. Enjoy wherever you can catch the water-hose! 🙂
PS: you eyes are glowing like cat’s eyes! (jk)

YouKai, that other dog must have been pretty cool. I bet we could have great fun jumping together.

It’s that magical Sedona water, Bongo…it has special properties, don’tcha know?

    • Bongo

      August 9, 2012 at 8:18 pm

Lindy, that must be it – but for some reason the magic only works when it’s getting dark.

Angels Whisper, I’ll have to get my person to do that video thing sometime when I’m jumping.

Ah, Bongo you are so fit [except cute and masculine!] you jump so high!!! This looks like great fun huh? On that second photo there is something eerily reminding me of the …terminator, it’s the green eyes!!!! Even with green eyes you are so handsome!

    • Bongo

      August 11, 2012 at 1:08 pm

Thanks Marina. I think I’ll go off and jump some more now. But just remember, “I’ll be back.”

That looks like so much fun!
Your eyes glowing like that obviously means you’re a superhero 🙂

    • Bongo

      August 11, 2012 at 1:10 pm

Thanks Misaki. I guess doing high jumps are a part of being a superhero. I can jump over a fence to get the villain and then zap him with my glowing eyes.

Bongo do you have springs on your paws? You can really jump! We love when the humans water the yard. DiDi especially loves it as she jumps after the hose like you.

Bella and DiDi, hose jumping is great sport, but when my person doesn’t lift the hose up high catching water from the hose is just as much fun.

glowing eyes..that is so that you can see in the dark..that will be useful along the trail when there are dark days.
What a lovely neighbour you have, to hose the water and let you have fun

    • Bongo

      August 11, 2012 at 1:15 pm

Patreciau, I guess those glowing eyes can really come in handy now. This time of year my person waits until it is almost dark to take me on my trails because it’s too hot during the day. And yeah, my neighbor is great. When I see him out in his yard I drag my person over there so I can say hi to him.

Woohooo!!!! Hose jumping looks very fun!!! and glowing eyes are cool, aren’t they?
P.S. your neighbor seems to be enjoying playing with you Bongo! 🙂

Kevin, my neighbor is cool. I like to visit him a lot. He’s the dad of Timmy, my dog friend I just lost, so I think I’m helping him when I go visit him.

You are a great jumper, Bongo. I love playing with the hose, too, but I can’t jump that high.

    • Bongo

      August 11, 2012 at 1:17 pm

Lola, I bet we could have great fun playing with the hose together.

You are a great hose jumper Bongo! Should your neighbor decide to relocate to the east coast, we would like him to move next to us.

    • Bongo

      August 11, 2012 at 1:46 pm

Bosun Dawg, I’ll put in a word with my neighbor for you – but I hope he doesn’t move. I have too much fun with him.

Maybe you could used those eyes to scare everyone at Halloween just go drink out of his hose then. We love to drink out of the hose too and come running when it’s on but we don’t jump, you have to bring the water down to us!

    • Bongo

      August 11, 2012 at 1:49 pm

Lexie and Mica, jumping and drinking at the same time are the most fun. I’ll have to remember to do it at Halloween.

Hey Jet, thanks. I’ll have to get my person to take some more when the lighting is a little better. Any excuse to jump for the hose.

Thanks Bassa. It took my person several tries to catch me in the air. I was a good dog. I kept jumping for her.

You are teaching many people out there an important lesson on getting to know one’s neighbors, Bongo! You never know how much happiness they can give you until you walk up to them and say “Hi!” 🙂

    • Bongo

      August 12, 2012 at 2:31 pm

Jessica, I do have some pretty good neighbors – and some of them are dogs.

Wow! You can really jump high Bongo!!! Ginger says she likes how your eyes glow two different colors… and she wants to know why when her eyes glow she is Devil Spawn yet when yours glow you are cute! I dont think she liked it when I told her that Bongo’s eyes dont glow red and is joined by evil laughter….. she is plotting revenge of some sort.. great post Bongo! What a great neighbor!

    • Bongo

      August 15, 2012 at 5:55 pm

Collies, my neighbor is lots of fun. He was one of my friend Timmy’s owners before Timmy passed on so I have to go over and give him his dog fix. Maybe I can send some of my neighbor’s hose water to Ginger so her eyes glow two colors of green instead of red. I can’t do anything about the evil laughter though.
