Since the thunder left I’ve really been enjoying taking my person for walks on my trails. Every day has been sunny, and the air feels just right. But there’s one problem.
My puddle left. Again.
I don’t know where it goes, but it’s always going somewhere. This time I think I’m going to look around and see if I can find it.
***
Look what I found! I’m in luck! My puddle – it moved over here.
There’s something wrong with it though. I ran out of puddle too soon. This can’t be all of it.
This is really strange. How can half my puddle disappear and the other half stay. I don’t know what I’m going to do now. I think I’m dealing with a split personality puddle. It’s got to be very confused. How would I feel if half of me went missing?
I don’t think my puddle should be here at all. Maybe if I make it leave it will find its other half and go back where it belongs.
Take that, you wayward puddle. Time to go home.

You take your person for a walk? Isn’t your person taking you for a walk??

Sweet Kitten, I let my person think she’s taking me for a walk but it’s really the other way around.

Never in my life, Bongo – a “split personality puddle”!! What will you come up with next! Glad the thunders left you – you must be really, really happy 🙂

Susan, I’m very happy that the thunder is gone. The only thing that makes me sad is that my puddle is gone too.

You’ve got good puddles Bongo. I had to dig a great big hole under my porch to make my puddle stay…Lola

Lola, that’s so cool that you made a place for your puddle under your porch. I have to go out on my trails to find mine. My yard only gets puddles when the rain comes down really hard and then they go away when the rain stops.

I have to keep working on it Bongo cause my people keep trying to fill it back in! I can’t ever have a rest around here.

Lola, sometimes people just don’t get it.

I hope the puddle wasn’t kidnapped! *gulp* or puddle-napped!

Cupcake, I hadn’t thought of that. Now I’m worried. It could have been those coyotes. My person keeps telling me they’re up to no good.

It’s a puzzel
why a puddle
should be…
In such a muddle

Patreciau, that’s a really cool poem. Especially since it’s a mud puddle.

Jen, I certainly have to run around on my toes trying to find what that puddle’s up to and where it’s been.

Bongo, sometimes also puddles need some space, but I’m sure it will come back, just be patient 😉

Angels Whisper, I just want to know where my puddle goes when it disappears. At least I found out where half of it goes.

Bongo, probably your puddle went on an errand but she knew you would feel very sad if she left completely, so that’s why she leaves half of the puddle there for you! 🙂

Kevin, at least I know my puddle is thinking of me. I hope it’s not going on a very long errand this time.

So glad all the big boomers have left so you can enjoy your walks again. Bongo maybe you should think of the puddle as half full instead of half empty 😉

Misty Shores, my puddle was half full until I started splashing the water out of it. I’m feeling much better now that the boomers are gone.

Hey Bongo, Jet here.
Hmmm… a puzzlement… I trust your detecting skills and know that you will reach a fine conclusion. I’m delighted (and jealous) that your booms have departed. That puddle of yours is certainly fickle!

Hey Jet, I sure hope your booms go away soon. They’re certainly no fun. I still haven’t found the rest of my puddle but I’ve been looking.

September 24, 2012 at 4:56 pm
Ginger, I would dig that puddle deeper if I could, but the bottom is all rock. I think that has something to do with where my puddle goes.
