Check this out. The weed of weeds! And I found it right on my trails. I’ve been dreaming of a weed like this. I could spend hours of munching pleasure chomping down on this weed.
Look at it. Those luscious, shiny, beautiful blades of grass. And for dessert there are even some tiny weed seeds.
I’ve never seen a weed like this before. I don’t know where it came from, but I’m sure it was placed here just for me.
Now comes the challenge.
My person is standing right next to me and she likes to pull on my leash when I start chomping weeds. I’ve got to find something to distract her.
Maybe some cute little flowers that she can take pictures of.
Hey person! Over here! Check these out. You’d better get out your camera.
Whew! Lucky break. Those flowers weren’t easy to find.
Now to chow down!

Oh yuck! Ptooey! Gross! This weed tastes terrible!
Hey person, put your camera away so we can go. I think I see some of my regular weeds over here.

I guess those weeds look better than they taste. That doesn’t happen very often.
Love and licks,

Cupcake, I know what you mean. Usually anything I try tastes pretty good.

Why is that Bongo… I’ve got all kinds of weeds to munch on & some are just phootoo-y. But you know some things people put in their mouths are pretty yucky too. Like bananas – who needs those? I tried one of those – Diane says I was begging – but I just asked politely to taste some. Now since I’m not rude, I always put those kind of things behind the couch. I guess you just don’t know unless you try.

Lola, olives are the worst thing to me. Even worse than that weed. Every time I get one I spit it out – even if it’s mixed with other things. I manage to spit out the olives and eat everything else.

My mother used to say,”handsome is as handsome does”. I guess in your case “pretty is as pretty does”. Sometimes the pretty/handsome ones really aren’t as nice as they look.

Patricia, I guess you’re right. I sure thought that weed was going to be something special – and I was wrong.

Misty Shores, I was really looking forward to a tasty morsel. At least I got dinner when I got home.

Isn’t that always the way, they put a weed there that looks really beautiful and soo good and make it taste terrible. Nature is playing a joke on us to make the awful things look the most appealing:)

Lexie and Mica, it’s so disappointing when nature does that. But I guess we get nature back when we wet everything down.

Just goes to prove that not everything in life is as it appears to be. had you eaten those weeds you could have been very ill….so the Creator put a nasty smell on them so that you would leave them alone….You don’t look as tho you are starved so why must you eat weeds..lots of love xxxxx

Patreciau, it’s just nice to have a little variety in my diet. The food my person gives me is good but so is a little salad.

dogs aren’t supposed to eat salad”having said that my Rosie dog loves tomatoes. Also dogs do eat grass..but I thought that was medicinal purposes only

Patreciau, I’m a salad loving dog. Every time my person chops vegetables I come around and she tosses me the ends. I guess eating trail salad is just natural for me.

Bongo, the weed maniac!!!!! …or should I say Dogs, the weed maniacs! Maybe we should give them a go too! With the exception of the one above.

Marina, don’t try that weed in the picture – but there are others that are good. I think you’d like them.

P.S. the flower is lovely! 🙂

I’ve never ate weed before. What does it taste Bongo?
Bongo
September 29, 2012 at 11:56 am
Dianda, some weeds have a good, grassy flavor. This one didn’t.

You better watch out for those weeds. Some of them are poison.

Sandra, maybe that’s why this weed tasted so bad.

Hey Bongo, Jet here. Hi Miss Laura.
Dude, great strategy. Never hurts to try. (well Mom says that’s not actually true, as some things are too dangerous even to try… like our nasty buffo frogs for example)… whoops, I digress… Now you know to stay away, looks can be deceiving dude.

September 30, 2012 at 7:55 pm
Hey Jet, I’ve heard about your nasty buffo frogs. I’m sure glad we don’t have anything like that here. I guess I’ll stay away from those big weeds though.

Hey Bongo
Sounds like you should stick to your regular weed buffet? 🙂
I hope you’re having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂

Hey Snoopy, you’re right. I decided my regular weeds are good enough. But I’ve got to complain I’m not having much fun. My person ran off and left me in the dog hotel – again. I hope your day is fun.

Dalton, there’s still lots of plain old weeds on my trails. I just thought I’d go for a little variety and it didn’t work.

Hi! Ginger here… yucky weeds? Just leave some doggy droppings on them.. that will teach them for being yucky!

Ginger, doggy droppings is all those weeds deserve. I’m getting right on it. Well, as soon as I get out of the dog hotel.
