You’re Not Supposed to Yell

20 Oct

Bongo Leading the WayI don’t believe it! I just got back from the dog hotel – again. And this time my person didn’t give me enough warning so I could put it on a blog post. I mean, she didn’t even get her suitcase out until after she dropped me off. Of all the nerve! I wanted everybody to feel sorry for me – but how can you feel sorry for me if you don’t know what’s going on?

At least she picked me up after only a couple days this time. But then she kept yelling at me. You think she’d be really excited to see me – but she yelled at me instead. I got so excited when I got into the car that I started loving on the back seat – and my person yelled at me for it.

And then, after we got home, I got caught red pawed. My person went outside to get the mail and I figured since Scratchy hadn’t eaten all his food in the whole time I was gone that I’d do him a favor and finish it up for him. My person came back in the house while I was just getting started.

Come on, person. You take pictures of everything else. Get your camera out and take a picture of me with my paws up on the counter. That’ll give me time to finish this.

But, no – my person wouldn’t go for it. Sorry, Scratchy. I guess you’re going to have to eat that old food.

Then to make matters worse, my person made me take her for a walk before I had a chance to take a nap. Something about it getting dark soon. I could have led her just fine in the dark. I got her back though, because I got some good loves on the trail and she didn’t get any.

Not the dog hotel again!!!!!! 😥
Maybe your person is upset about something else or not feeling very happy and actually need more loves! Get a good night sleep and when you wake up you’ll find it was all a bad dream!

Marina, I’m sleeping it off now – but maybe it was a bad dream because I’m back home again.

Well, my goodness!! Sweet Bongo seems nothing went right for you. We know your person was happy to see you though. We hope today will be a much better day and things will go your way. We hope you get lots of extra hugs for having to stay at the doggy hotel two times so close together. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, my person says I shouldn’t have to go back to that dog hotel again for awhile now. I’ve got to figure out a plan to keep my person home all the time so I never have to go back there. Hugs and nose kisses back to you.

Alex and Penny, I think that’s a good idea. My neighbor likes taking me for walks.

Jaz, I think my person should be more understanding – I just can’t help myself.

        I agree Bongo!

After a couple of days in dog jail, you should be the one doing the yelling, B. Oh well. I bet you’ll get tons of loves once the travel pressure wears off.

    Love and licks,

Cupcake, I think my person should understand that I didn’t get one taste of cat food the whole time I was in that dog hotel. And then she caught me before I could eat Scratchy’s.

Bongo, Scratchy appreciates you trying to make sure he got some nice fresh food. It’s the thought that counts.

Karen, at least Scratchy was happy that I came home and drank all the old water – so my person put fresh water in the bowl. He doesn’t like old stuff.

Misaki, sometimes it seems like I have all the tough luck – but at least my person is home for awhile now.

Wow Bongo sorry it sounds like a bad week. Mom always tells us before she takes us to the dog hotel, because we get so depressed if we don’t know at least a day early. We are always so excited when she picks us up that we jump, and pull, and kiss and drag her to the car (all the things we are not allowed to do) but she doesn’t get upset because we are just so happy she came to take us home. The man at the hotel has to help her get us to the car. I hope Mom doesn’t have to take you to the hotel again for a long time.

Lexie and Mica, my person says she plans to hang around for awhile now. She did kind of tell me she was taking me – but what really tells me is when she gets that suitcase out. Since she only had to pack for one night – even though I had to go for two nights – she just got it out at the last minute – after she dropped me off. I’m going to have to train her to start packing earlier every time.

Ginger says look at it as a vacation from scratchy! 🙂

Ginger, at least I get other dogs and people to hang around with. Scratchy gets left on his own.

Sorry Bongo, that’s not really a nice ‘welcome home’. 😦

Dianda, I got my person back. I’ve been ignoring her and sleeping ever since I got home.

Oh no Bongo….I can’t believe that you are yelled by your person? I mean your person seems to be very generous and of course, you’re NOT naughty, so there is no reason you’re yelled! 🙂

      October 21, 2012 at 4:17 pm

Kevin, that’s what I figure too. I’m always the perfect dog – and after all Scratchy didn’t want that cat food or he would have eaten it already.

Do you think she is hiding her guilt at abandoing you behind anger?? I would continue doing all the helpful things you are doing and eventually she will let her guilt show!

Dalton, she’s got to feel terribly guilty for abandoning me. I guess I’ll follow your advice and keep helping out.

    Hey Bongo,

My family sneak off on me too!! I think we need to get ourselves iPads!! I think we need to keep them on us at all times, so we can alert everyone to when we’ve been abandoned!! Tee Hee

    Wags to all,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

Snoopy, that’s a great idea. All our blogging friends would feel sorry for us and our people would feel so guilty that they’d never abandon us again.

Bongo, maybe your person is stressed out, because she feels guilty that she left you for again! Here’s a lot of love for you from me and Little Binky 🙂

Thanks so much Angels Whisper and Little Binky. I’m sure my person is feeling terribly guilty for leaving me again. I just hope she feels so guilty that she takes me with her next time – or doesn’t leave in the first place.
