What Came with the Hat?

13 Nov

Bongo Investigating his new PipeYesterday I got my new Detective Dog hat, but something else came with it.

I looked and looked at it and could not figure out what it was – let alone what anyone would do with it.

I think I’m going to have to get my Detective Dog hat back on and investigate this.

.

.

.

My person tried to tell me I was supposed to hold the end of it in my mouth.

Pipe being handed to Bongo

But that didn’t make any sense to me.

I think I’d better keep up with my investigation.

***

My person took that thing away and did something to it.

When she gave it back it smelled better.

Bongo sniffing the end of the pipe

It smelled really good.

Bongo handling the pipe

I think I know what this thing is for now.

But there seems to be some extra parts here.

Bongo with the end of the pipe off

They only needed this one little piece to put the peanut butter in.

That was sure nice of them to send along a peanut butter holder with my Detective Dog hat.

Peanut butter holder – how funny. You’d look mighty cute if you did hold it in your mouth though 😀

Susan, my person put peanut butter on the end to try to get me to hold that thing – but you can’t lick the peanut butter when you’re holding it in your mouth.

Marina, it does make a great peanut butter holder. But my person was afraid I’d chew the whole thing up so she got the peanut butter back out and gave it to me on her finger. It tastes good that way too.

Cupcake, saying no was easy because after I licked all the peanut butter off that think wasn’t any fun any more.

Lola, that pipe thing sure is good for holding peanut butter. Somebody should market these.

Maybe this strange peanut butter holding item is a clue for a mystery? I mean, where did it come from? And why would they make the peanut butter holding part so small?? I think you have some work to do Detective Dog!

Remy, you’re right. I’d better get to investigating. Somehow that peanut butter holder got in the package with my detective hat, but why wasn’t the holder part bigger. I think I might have to investigate where to find a bigger peanut butter holder.

We have been trying to figure that thing out. We just can’t believe that has anything to do with detecting on your trails. What could it find? We agree that the peanut butter is the only thing it was good for:/

Lexie and Mica, I agree. The only way it might help with detecting is if the culprit was attracted to the peanut butter before I had a chance to eat it all.

    Hey Bongo, Jet here.

Glad to see the set was complete…

Hey Jet, it’s a good thing, isn’t it? I mean, what would a detective dog hat be without a peanut butter holder to go with it.

Collies, I’m trying to get my person to fill up that peanut butter holder again. She says she’s afraid I’ll chomp it to pieces. I don’t know why she’d think that.
