I have some new neighbors. At least I think I have some new neighbors. I haven’t seen them yet, but they put their house in the parking lot of my trailhead.
I’ve never seen a house in the parking lot before, but I guess someone has moved in here because this house has been around for a few days.
I wonder where my new neighbors have gone. They never seem to be here.
.
Maybe if I go over to this side of the house I’ll find something. Maybe the neighbors don’t like that side and they’re hanging around over here.
No, I don’t see anyone.
Do you think I should knock on the door? Do you think anyone would answer?
I really want to meet my new neighbors. Neighbors give loves and maybe I could give them some loves too. But nothing’s going to happen if I can’t find them.
Oh, look. Over on the other side. They’ve started decorating their windows. They must be around somewhere.
What, person? The police are decorating their windows?
Now, wait a minute. Are you trying to tell me that the police want to be my neighbors too?

I’m sure the police would love to be your neighbours but, in the mean time, I’d get out your chewy pipe and start doing some thorough investigation.

Susan, I definitely do need to investigate this. Especially what happened to those first neighbors in that house in the parking lot. I’ve never seen them.

One thing I’m certain of is that the police will never be your neighbors, Bongo. With you in the area, they are useless! Something fishy there! Hat & pipe, asap!

Marina, you’re right. I definitely need to investigate this. The police can go work on a case in another neighborhood.

I think you need to put your hat on and investigate further!

That window decoration is definitely a problem. I have a feeling your new neighbors will be moving out soon.

Cupcake, that would be sad. My new neighbors moving out before I even get to meet them. Well, maybe some more neighbors will be moving in.

You are right. Neighbours give you the love and attention that We dogs so richly deserve.

Jasper, I do have some pretty good neighbors – but I’m still waiting to meet these neighbors that live in the parking lot. I think they owe me some loves still.

Oh my goodness Bongo what have you discovered now…its that Sherlock hat and pipe again working overtime.
Even the Police are interested in your neighbours, maybe they are gangsters or something…you must keep a watchful eye on this as you may be needed to testify

Patreciau, gangsters in my neighborhood? Oh, no. I’d definitely better investigate this.

Maybe they are gypsies. You could have your paw read. People who live in houses with wheels usually don’t stick around long.

Patricia, I wonder if they could read my paw and tell me what those little rocks that always get stuck in my paws mean.

Hummm, now we wonder who put that house there…we hope you find out soon where those people are. We don’t think the police like that house being there and those people better come get their house if they want it before the police take it. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, that house is kind of in the way. Sometimes that parking lot fills up with hiker’s vehicles and that house is taking one of their spots. I hope those neighbors show up soon.

Hmmmm….The neighbors who were living in the house left it? It looks still useful… What the decoration on the window said, Mr Detective Dog Bongo? I’m very curious! 🙂
Bongo
November 15, 2012 at 10:04 am
Kevin, I didn’t go up and read the small print on that decoration, but my person says the police were probably telling the new neighbors they had to move their house. It was missing one day before that decoration showed up on it, but it’s back and has been there for several days – and I’ve never seen the neighbors in or around it.

I heard once that turtles carry their homes around with them…Maybe this is some sort of giant turtle who is too shy to come out?
Bongo
November 15, 2012 at 5:03 pm
Remy, that could be. A turtle would be so quiet I might never know it was in there. I’ll have to keep an eye on my trails. Maybe I’ll see that giant turtle going for a hike.
