I’m in a Book!

29 Nov

Bongo with his leash tangled in a bushI am so excited! My buddy Snoopy, Master Class Mischief Maker, has written a book. And he invited his friends to be in it.

And since I’m one of Snoopy’s friends, I’m in the book. I saved one of my special adventures for the book, so none of you have seen it on my blog. I almost got myself into real trouble on this one, but everything turned out cool in the end. And I didn’t get into trouble at all. I used a few of Snoopy’s Mischief Master Class Rules and they worked.

The book just came out as an eBook through Amazon. I talked my person into buying it and made her read the whole thing to me today. It’s got several of my friends in it too, and they’re all full of mischief. My person didn’t complain about paying for the book because half of the profits are going to help therapy dogs. We both thought that was a good thing to support.

The book’s even coming out in paperback really soon. I can’t wait because I’m planning to give it to my cousin dogs for Christmas and to some of my neighbors too. When you read about my adventure in it you’ll realize why I want to give it to my neighbors.

Hey, do I need a new hat now? I think I just became Book SalesDog. What kind of hats do SalesDogs wear?

What do you mean, they don’t wear any hats? How can I be SalesDog without a hat?

Marina, I’m getting my hat right now. I might have to get one for Toby too, so he can join me in the party. One of his people is in my story.

Thanks Karen. Mischief and therapy dogs are both good things. I only get to do the mischief part though. My person says I get too excited around new people to be a therapy dog.

There’s one in Molly’s manners class with a very dedicated lady who has been working with this one since he was a little puppy. This serious dog has a calming effect on the others…like Molly who tried to eat the entire stack of certificates that were being handed out last night. Really. Jumped up and snatched them all…we have a little work to do yet….

Karen, it sounds like Molly is a mischief queen.

Mummy down-loaded (VPB) the book yesterday on her kindle. She says she is not going to let Me and Nellie anywhere near it. She says We get into enough mischief without any additional assistance. Love Nellie and Jasper.

Nellie and Jasper, you’ll have to sneak a peak when your mum’s not looking. There’s so many good mischief lessons in it. I’ve been doing mischief for years and I still learned a few things.

Benny & Lily, I could really get into some good mischief doing book signings because I would need ink all over my paw.

Thanks Bumpy Road. You, Bella, Beary, and Bubba are famous too because you were just on Rumpy’s blog. You can’t do much better than that.

Hey Jet, you’re pretty cool in that book too. We might have to do that pawtograph party together. We’d really bring on the chicks. I think it’s cool that your mom helped edit the book. I’m already getting some sales – one of my person’s friends said on Facebook that she bought the book and one of my blogging friends said they bought it.

Angels Whisper, I could be a movie star? I never thought of that. What kind of hats to movie star dogs wear?

Lola, my person won’t let me be a therapy dog either. She says I wouldn’t behave myself. I don’t know why – I’m always good on my trails when I’m getting loves. Oh yeah, as soon as I can find some ink to walk in I’ll send my pawtograph your way.

I’m pretty sure a sales dog would wear a fedora. Congratulations on being in a book! You are even more famous than ever, now.

    Love and licks,

      November 29, 2012 at 9:34 pm

Thanks Cupcake. I’m putting in my order for a fedora right now. Some people have already bought the book that heard about it from me so I guess I really am a Sales Dog.

Oooh, I agree with Genevieve – a Fedora is the hat to have for a book dog! Congratulations to you and Snoopy; checking your link out now.

    Hey Bongo,

Dude, I so loved your Mischief story – thank you SO much for being in the book and thank you for telling everyone about it – you’re the best – I’m so lucky to have you as my friend!!

    Big wags Dude,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

PS – Mum says it can be surprising which Dogs can do Therapy work, after all my Mischief you wouldn’t expect I can just turn it on when I go to the retirement homes or hang out with children, but somehow I know when it’s Therapy time and when it’s Mischief time – so there’s hope for you yet buddy 🙂

Thanks Snoopy. It’s so much fun being in your book. My person says one of her friends saw her link on Facebook and bought the book and one of my blogging friends bought it too. I would love to be a therapy dog because I would get so many loves, but my person says I get too hyper in unusual situations – so I guess I’ll have to stick to getting loves on my trails.

Oooooohhhh!!!! Congratulations Bongo! The book looks very interesting that the illustration of the cover is cute, too! and I’d love to read what you wrote about! Unfortunately I don’t think that my mom can’t get the ebook, so we have to wait for the paperback one!!! 🙂

Thanks Kevin. The paperback book is supposed to be out in time for Christmas, which means it will be available soon. My person doesn’t have one of those eBook reader things but she found out she can read it on her computer.

Remy, you’re gonna love the book. There’s some great mischief stories in it and you’ll probably learn something about mischief that you can use too. Snoopy’s got some awesome rules for mischief in the book.

Misaki, don’t let your people get hold of the book. You’ll learn a lot of new mischief tricks and you don’t want them to know your secrets. There’s some really great stuff in it.

My human still hasn’t bought the book even though she knows I’m in it – is that mischief or what? *waggy tail* I’m gonna use my own pocket moneys and buy it today!

      December 3, 2012 at 1:30 pm

Alfie, sometimes I think our humans need a mischief book of their own. They certainly get up to a lot of mischief sometimes. I hope you get a good allowance so you don’t have to use up all the money you have. It’s so fun being in a book with you and so many of our other blogging friends.
