First Flower

28 Feb

Little Purple FlowerYou see this? This little flower here? It’s the first flower of the season.

Not very impressive, is it?

But this little flower means something that I don’t like to think about. It means that soon there will be more flowers.

I don’t think much of flowers. You can’t eat them. I don’t care what they look like.

But for some reason my person cares.

And she’s always getting her camera out to take pictures of them.

Hey person, here I am. Take some pictures of me.

But no. When those flowers are out that’s all she seems to care about.

And all I want to do is go for a walk.

Maybe I should take up gardening. Maybe if I put some of those flowers in our yard my walks wouldn’t be constantly interrupted by the camera.

My person could take pictures of my lovely garden instead.

I’m good at digging.

Bongo digging in the yard

And I’m good at watering too.

Now all I need are a few seeds.

Sweet Kitten, I’ll send you all our flowers so my person doesn’t have to take pictures of them.

May be small but that first flower is quite pretty and a definite sign you guys are heading for spring.

Susan, we had beautiful spring weather the last couple of days. But today the clouds have arrived.

Looks like you could make some big bucks as a landscaper.

Will and Eko, landscaping sounds like a great job for a dog. We have a neighbor who does that. Maybe I’ll see if he needs any help.

…as long as you ask your person to provide the seeds!!! 😆

Marina, I think my person found a few seeds in a drawer the other day. I bet she wouldn’t notice if they’re missing.

Maybe you should tuck a flower behind your ear. 🙂

You’re really digging way down there, B! Good work. People love holes in unexpected places.

Cupcake, I actually filled that hole up again. I planted my frisbee in it. So far no little frisbees have come up.

I am too…. I like to water the bushes in the yard!

Rumpy, and you’d think our people would appreciate that they don’t have to water so much. I have to watch out for my bushes though. If I get too close to them I get poked.

I bet you are a good digger Bongo but maybe your person would not always appreciate your help in making garden holes. I think you should have a good sniff at the pretty flowers..I like them…so there!

Patrecia, none of the flowers on my trails are much to sniff at – unless someone left a message on them. Maybe my person could help me put some better smelling ones in our garden.

Are you burying your frisbee Bongo? maybe if you plant it you could get a few frisbees to grow.

Lola, I actually did bury my frisbee. I’m still waiting for the little frisbees though. They must be slow to start coming up.

Good job digging Bongo, I’m sure you can plant quite a few seeds in that hole. Mom likes the flower, it means Spring is on the way. Spring is not on the way here! We have had NO sun for five days. We were suppose to get fun snow but have just had rain so no spring flowers

Lexie and Mica, the daffodils and tulips are starting to come up in the garden here. We had beautiful spring weather the last few days, but today the clouds covered everything up.
