The Tomb is Really Empty Now

25 Mar

Scratchy with bags of plastic Easter eggsHey person, Scratchy’s getting into the Easter eggs.

What?

I am not.

I am not trying to cover up for what I did.

What did I do?

Oh that. Well, it smelled like food to me.

.

.

Partially completed paper mache empty tomb

So I ate it.

Bongo and damaged tomb

It was a what?

You’re making an empty tomb for Easter? The tomb that Jesus left?

Aren’t tombs made out of rocks or something?

Person, if you’d carved that tomb out of rock I wouldn’t have eaten it. So it’s all your fault.

But don’t worry. I’ll take care of it.

Look.

Bongo licking the paper mache drippings off the floor

I’m cleaning up the mess I made on the floor.

Marina, the paper mache paste my person made just has flour and water in it. That’s food in my book.

I did have to eat some newspaper along with that paste. Kind of yucky so I didn’t eat it all. But today my person hid the tomb from me but I found the waxed paper that had all the paste drippings on it and I ate some of them. I didn’t think my person wanted them any more anyway.

Lola, I really didn’t eat much of it. That newspaper wasn’t agreeing with me. But I had fun tearing it apart.

Benny & Lily, not only do they make nutty things, but she could have at least told me I wasn’t supposed to eat it.

Blueberry’s human, my person is putting that tomb back together so maybe I’ll get another chance at it. Oh wait, she locked it in the bathroom.

Maybe you were “helping” to perfect the tomb. Yeah. That’s it …helping!

    You’re welcome,

Cupcake, I’m sure I was helping. I reshaped it a little bit and my person put on a better layer of paper mache the second time. She’s been putting a new layer on every day. I’ll have to see if I can get in and help some more.

    Hey Bongo,

You’re great at making mischief out of anything buddy – and I love how you use scratchy as a decoy – but just remember – never confess dude!! 🙂

    Have fun,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

Snoopy, I keep trying to put all the blame on Scratchy and for some reason my person doesn’t believe me. I don’t know why. He can be as mischievous as I am.

That wide and happy smile can only result from some well-done work. It is impossible to find any connection between that cute beam and any kind of mischief.

Kolytyi, I couldn’t have possibly done anything bad, could I? Scratchy really did it. I don’t know why my people won’t believe me.

Your person is a wonderful artist to try to make a tomb for Jesus, Bongo!!! Wat a thoughtful and sweet lady she is!
*whispers* Did it taste good, Bongo? 🙂

      March 26, 2013 at 11:38 am

Kevin, the newspaper part was kind of yucky, so I didn’t eat very much of it. I left most of it on the floor. Now my person is putting a new layer of that paper and flour and water stuff on the tomb every day and she leaves it locked in the bathroom when she’s not in the house. You’d think she doesn’t trust me or something.

By the way, I agree, if you make anything out of food why shouldnt we eat it?

Ginger, food on the counter was meant for us dogs, wasn’t it? But Scratchy did it. He got to that thing first. Why is it that my person doesn’t believe me?

    – Hehehehe, did you really ate that tomb, Bongo?- Of course it was Scratchy, you can see it on his face that he’s not innocent 🙂

Little Binky, it was Scratchy, of course. He probably thought it was going to taste like tuna.

I hope you have no ill affects after eating a tomb!

    • Bongo

      March 27, 2013 at 3:42 pm

Dalton, I really didn’t eat much of that tomb. The newspaper part of it didn’t turn out to be very appetizing. I left – I mean Scratchy left the rest of it on the floor.
