Don’t Steal My Blog

09 May

Lizard on the rock in the shadeI think somebody is trying to take over my trails. And steal my blog. And become the center of attention.

How dare this creature pose for the main picture in my blog post? That spot should always be reserved for me.

At least that creature is small. Maybe all anyone sees is a rock and a bunch of branches. Maybe that little thing blends in with the background.

***

Now that the weather is getting warmer, lizards have been scurrying around on my trails.

I don’t even bother trying to chase them. They run right off and hide before I even get near.

We have the wimpiest creatures on my trails. The only ones willing to get near me are my dog friends – and the people, of course.

All the creatures that live on my trails run off at the mere thought that someone might be coming too close. Even the birds fly off when we get near – as if we could ever catch them up a tree.

Maybe I should bring Scratchy on my trails with me. He could climb up the tree after those birds and then when they fly off he’d be stuck there.

Hey, great idea. Why didn’t I think of that before?

But where was I going with this?

Oh yes, that lizard.

It’s a good thing he does run off so easily.

He’s going to have a hard time taking over my blog if he’s running off to hide in the bushes.

Lizard running into the bushes

Now to go get Scratchy.

Nah!!! They wouldn’t dare take over your blog or trails, Bongo! They’re cute and rather defenseless little creatures!
    🙂

Marina, I guess they’d have a hard time taking over my blog since they’re always running away.

Moving sticks! Molly gets them confused with a thrown ball….but is being persuaded to carry them gently as they are mosquito hunters….(well most of the time we spot the tail sticking out and manage a rescue and immediate relocation….otherwise she keeps trying to retrieve them….balls are dull when compared to moving sticks!)

Molly, maybe we should play a game of moving sticks together. My person says she knows kids that have tried to catch one by the tail and all they ended up with was the tail.

Bacon, you do have to watch out for a lot of things out there, but life wouldn’t be much of an adventure without them.

Benny & Lily, I’d try to chase them but the first thing they do is hide in some little crevice that I can’t get to.

They could never steal your trails or blog, Bongo! But if they brave and daring enough to even try, I bet you could chase them off, no problem! I bet Scratchy might even help 🙂 I’m sure he doesn’t want his home overrun with little green dragons…

Love of a Dog, we actually had one show up in our house last year. Scratchy didn’t even notice it until my person covered it with an upside down box. Then Scratchy wanted to get into the box.

Our yard is totally filled with lizards and sometimes in winter they even come in the house to warm up…and momz puts out water for them…but they do funny stuff that make us laugh so i guess i’ll let them stay…at least they don’t mess with my blog…oh wait…that’s exactly what they did yesterday BOL!

Gizmo, I don’t know what to do about those lizards. Maybe we should give them their own blog so they don’t take over ours.

No danger of those little lizards taking over your Blog Bongo, they just want to hide!

Barb, I guess you’re right. It’s kind of hard to take over a blog when you’re in hiding.

Ah I don’t think he wants to steal your blog Bongo, I think he just wanted you to wrote a post about him 😉

Misty Shores, I guess it’s okay if that lizard is only in one post. I’ve just got to make sure it doesn’t go to his head.

OMD! Well….to be honest, I couldn’t find the lizard on the picture! He must have been pretending he was not visible….Bongo, you shouldn’t let him take over your blog! Or We miss your adventurous posts!!!

Kevin, I think you’re right. That lizard would just have boring posts. I mean, how exciting can it be when you’re always running off and hiding.

Stay away from that lizard guy Bongo – he’s going to try to sell you insurance.

Lola and Diane, I think he needs to improve his methods. It’s hard to sell insurance when you’re hiding under a bush.

He’s too little to see to take over your blog, but he is a cute little guy. Have to look for a minute to find him, he blends in with the ground. I think your blog is safe and the cute little lizard is safe I hope 🙂

Lexie and Mica, I don’t think that lizard knows how to write or tell stories – so I’m probably safe.

Kolytyi, I guess they must respect me if they run off like that.

Don’t worry, lizards are too boring to take over your blog and they are not nearly as cute as you Bongo!

    • Bongo

      May 11, 2013 at 1:06 pm

Wag of a Tail, that’s why I’m worried about that lizard. If he took over my blog nobody would want to read it because it would be so boring.

Ginger, maybe I can get Scratchy to eat the lizard. My person says that sometimes makes cats sick.

Little Binky, that would be terrible. A lizard on every blog. I think we’re safe though. I’ve never seen one hop.
