Some of you might remember my puddle. The one that keeps disappearing. Running off, or whatever it does.
My puddle comes and goes and I never know what to expect.
Well, my puddle has been gone for a very long time now.
I asked my friends if they’d seen it, I put up Missing Puddle signs, and I even tried to get the police to put out an All Points Bulletin.
The police wouldn’t go for it. I don’t know why.
I’m still looking for my puddle. We haven’t had any rain here for a long time and it sure would be nice to have a puddle to splash in.
I wish I could convince my puddle to come back so I could do that.
Today I was wandering around where my puddle used to be, feeling kind of mopey because it was still missing, when I noticed something new.
Something had grown to take the place of my puddle.
It’s still not the same as having my puddle to splash in, but I started checking this out.
Weeds! Tasty weeds!
If I can’t have my puddle, at least I have something to munch on.
But what if my puddle realizes its spot was taken over and it never comes back.
Okay weeds, if you don’t move yourselves I’m going to eat you.
A few more bites and my puddle can return.

Right! You don’t want the water to change its mind! 😆
You mean the police were indifferent to this problem?! Unbelievable!

Marina, I don’t understand the police around here. They seem to spend all their time going after bad guys and don’t care anything for a missing puddle.

I would check with your agent – maybe your contract has some clause in it that states all puddles must be replenished. I think I’m going to put that on my list of thing to negotiate for my next contract.

Taz, I’ll have to look into that. My puddle is always disappearing. I don’t know where it goes, but then sometimes it comes back for awhile. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Benny & Lily, I wish I knew. It keeps disappearing and then when I least expect it, it comes back. But then it disappears again.

Your person could carry a water bottle and pour a little each day in where your puddle used to be – that might incourage it to come back?!

Dalton, I’ll see if I can get my person to do that. What person, you’ll get me a doggie backpack and I have to carry it???

I think that your puddle might ask those weeds to make you happy until he/she comes back!!!! He/she must want you to feel sad because of his absence!!!
Were those weeds delicious? 🙂

Kevin, those weeds were really delicious, but for some reason my person always drags me away before I get a really good mouthful. Do you think my puddle and those weeds are working together?

Oops! My comment didn’t make sense, did it? I wanted to say that your puddle didn’t want you to feel disappointed because he was not there, so that’s why he sent those weeds to let you enjoy munching them! Yes, I think that they work together! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Maybe, if you root up all of those weeds, water will simply spouting from the ground!

Kolytyi, I sure hope so. There must be water hiding around here for those weeds to grow. What, person? Desert weeds hardly need any water?
