The Bone is Back

09 Jul

Bongo found his bone from yesterdayHey person, you know that bone I found? The one you made me drop yesterday?

Well it’s still here.

This is one stroke of luck.

Bongo picking up his bone

I think I’d better bury this thing again before somebody else finds it.

Bongo digging a hole

Okay bone. You’ll be safe in here.

Bongo about to bury the bone in the hole

This is really hard work covering up this bone.

I wish I had a shovel so I didn’t have to use my nose.

Bongo covering the bone up

Person, what do you mean we have to go now?

I worked really hard to bury that bone. I’ve got to dig it up now and make sure it’s safe.

I don’t want to go yet. I’m not done digging.

You’re going to make all that work I did go to waste.

I bet there’s nobody that works harder than I just did, and you’re going to turn it into a waste.

Ant dragging a large tuft of hair

What’s that ant doing carrying that tail around with him?

Working harder than me?

No way.

I carry my tail around with me all the time. It’s no work at all.

Marina, I remembered right where my bone was. Now that I’m home from the dog hotel I’d better go check and see if it’s still there.

You’re bad to the bone – in a good way of course! Is that a cooling jacket you’re wearing?

Thanks Will and Eko. That’s an Anxiety Vest I’m wearing – to help me not be so scared of the thunder that we’re having bunches of.

Lola, this place is crawling with ants in the summer. Maybe they’re trying to outdo each other.

Ants are such show offs. Careful, Bongo – ants get cranky if you point it out!

Karen and Molly, I’ll stay away from those ants. They don’t really play fair anyway. If you get too close they all gang up on you.

It seems that bone is meant to be yours since you keep finding it. Hope you remeber where you buried it so you can dig it up again.

Patricia, now that I’m back from the dog hotel I’ve really got to go out and see if it’s still there. Got to wait for this thunder to quit though.

Benny & Lily, I think that ant was jealous of my tail and wanted his own and had to do whatever it takes.

I hope you got lots of treats as a reward for all your work!

Dalton, I’m still working on getting those treats. There’s lots on top of the fridge. I don’t know why my person doesn’t get them all down where I can reach them. After all, they are mine.

You’re so funny Bongo!!! Yes, your tail is much much bigger than what the ant carries….you’re also bigger than the ant though….*giggles*
Glad you found your bone again! 🙂

    You DEFINITELY need a backpack.

Kolytyi, my person says she won’t carry it for me. I don’t know why she expects me to carry it. I’m already the one doing all the work.

If your person is such a bone idle, then there seems to be only one solution: besides Pet Waste Stations, there should be Pet Treasuries on your trails.

Maybe there could be a Pet Treasury on my trail for each dog and we get our own lock and key. Woo woo!

You didnt get to bring the bone home? Sigh… humans…. If it is work for that ant to carry its tail then just step on it and put it out of its misery…. better yet get a magnifying glass… muwahahahah

Ginger, only once did I manage to get a bone that I found all the way home – and then my person wouldn’t let me in the house with it. Maybe I could drop the bone on that ant.
