I really do not like thunder. It’s one of the most horrible things there is.
But I’m thinking now that maybe there’s a good side to thunder.
Thunder has some benefits of its own.
Yesterday I got to go to church – twice – because my person didn’t want to leave me home alone while it thundered.
But today was even better.
For the first time ever, I got to go to Starbucks.
Well, I didn’t get to go in Starbucks, but they have tables outside my Starbucks – and dogs are allowed to sit there.
They even have a special Starbucks drink for dogs outside their front door.
And not only did I get to go to Starbucks, but so did my friend Pablo.
I hadn’t seen Pablo for months and months so I had to check him out and make sure it was really him.
Pablo and I met lots of new people while we were there and we got lots of loves.
Even kid loves. The best kind.
We saw some strange animals too.
I’ve never seen animals like this on my trails.
They seemed friendly though. I wanted to play with them, but I couldn’t get them to take notice of me.
So I decided to check out the view from our table.
I couldn’t see much. There were a lot of bushes in the way.
My person said she had a better view though.
I guess being taller than a dog has its advantages.
My person says there’s a rock in this picture named after a famous dog.
Hey, I’m famous. Is there a rock named after me?
What? It’s not me? It’s a dog named Snoopy?
I kept waiting for Snoopy to get up and bark so I could spot him, but my person says all he does is lay on his back.
He’s laying there on top of the rocks to the right of the tallest rocks in the picture.
I guess I need to work on getting as famous as Snoopy.
That way I can sleep all day too.

You are famous, Snoopy just happens to have a more famous person than you, and a comic strip too.

Sandra, do you think I should start my own comic strip? Or maybe I need to ask my person to get famous.

Starbucks! Yum! I hope Mom takes me to Starbucks soon. Maybe she’ll let me lick the bottom of her cup. I love coffee.
Love and licks,

Cupcake, you’ve got to get your mom to take you to Starbucks. It’s great fun. One of my Facebook friends said they have PupCups there so now I’ve got to go back and find out. I just thought they had Starbucks water for dogs.

We feel your pain… we’re in London and there’s a thunderstorm going on 😦

Stately Hound, I guess I won’t be going to London anytime soon. We have enough thunderstorms here. I’ve still got another few weeks to put up with them here. We have them almost every day this time of year.

Church and Starbucks! Seems you are having quite a week in spite of the thunder-boomers. If you slept as much as Snoopy you would have few adventures and that would be boring…for all of us.

Patricia, I guess you’re right. How could I have adventures if I slept all the time? Life would be no fun at all – but some naps are still good.

Naps are always good!

Penny, at least I have my Bongo trails. Maybe I should have a Starbucks put on my trails. Then I could go there every day.

Church, Starbacks and kids loves? Well, Bongo, YOU ARE ALREADY FAMOUS!
I bet Snoopy doesn’t get all this! Bongo’s person, thank you for showing us Snoopy rocks. Took me some time to spot it but it does look like Snoopy sleeping after all!
🙂

Marina, I am having a great week in spite of the thunder – or maybe because of it. Glad you found Snoopy. He’s kind of tricky to spot, but once you do you can’t miss him.
What's Going on at Mumsy's
July 27, 2013 at 4:27 pm
Sweet Bongo we think you had an amazing day. We have never been to Starbucks, Mumsy hasn’t either but we hear they have good coffee. We have never seen animals like those either. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, my person goes to Starbucks about once a week with a Bible study group – so not only did I get Starbucks, I got a Bible study too.

Mollie and Alfie, you ought to find a way to convince your people to take you to Starbucks. It’s really fun. It’s thundering here again. I wonder if I can convince my person she really needs to go there again.

Wow! That Starbucks is great to allow dogs to stay with their humans having coffee! Those kids who gave you love are so cute!
Snoopy Rock! How cute it is! He is very popular in Japan, too! *Oops!*….Hem hem…..Of course Bongo, you’re famous here, too! Maybe there will be a Bongo Rock soon! 🙂

Kevin, at least I have my Bongo trails. Starbucks wouldn’t let me go inside, but they have tables outside and my person has seen lots of dogs there. I don’t know why she didn’t take me there before, but at least I finally got to go.

I think you are getting on with being at least as famous as Snoopy! And there is a very important difference: Snoopy has only comic strip friends but you have many-many virtual and real friends around the world!
Bongo
July 28, 2013 at 2:10 pm
Kolytyi, you’re right. I’ve got lots of real friends all over the world. And Snoopy is just flat on the paper.

you are really quite brave , thunder is not very friendly ..my poor doggies run under the chairs. It is great that you went to Starbucks, did they give you any of the money that they owe the taxman in England. He is not at all happy with Mr Starbucks.
Why have a rock named after you when you could have the universe..we could all go to Bongoland..that would be fun
Bongo
July 28, 2013 at 2:14 pm
Patrecia, Bongoland sounds like a great idea. A whole theme park about me. I’d have a great time there with all my friends. But I think I’ll have to go back to Starbucks and see if I can get some of that tax money. All I got last time I was there was Starbucks water.

Those definitely are perks to being afraid of thunder!
I gotta ask, Bongo, how well does the Anxiety Wrap work for you? In our region, the Thunder Shirts are definitely more prevalent, but they get such mixed results.
Bongo
July 29, 2013 at 3:22 pm
Champ’s Mom, the Anxiety Wrap helps calm me a little, but not nearly enough. It’s also a challenge to get on right. It’s easy to get it twisted the wrong way. My person is thinking of getting a Thunder Shirt for me too, because I’ve had to wear my Anxiety Wrap so much it’s getting warn out.

Little Binky, there is some resemblance to me, isn’t there. Maybe somebody did name a rock after me.

Ginger, we might have good views here – but not as many beautiful dogs as there are at your house. Well, besides me, that is.
