Since we’ve gotten lots of rain here, the ground on my trails which is usually hard as rocks, has softened up.
It’s become so soft that somebody decided to dig a big hole – right next to my trail.
This hole was awfully close to some cactus so I thought I’d better investigate to see who might have done such a thing.
A few sniffs here – and a few sniffs there.
Hmmm. There are so many smells around here. It’s hard to figure who might have dug this.
What? Huh? What are you saying, person?
You think I dug this hole?
Where would you possibly have come up with an idea like that?
I’ve been dragging you around on this leash. I haven’t been out of your sight for a minute.
I don’t know when you think I would have had a chance to dig this without you seeing me.
Besides, I’m not much of a digger.
I bet you can’t even think of the last time you saw me digging a hole.
Oh. Well, that was an exception.
That Frisbee was brand new and I really needed to bury it.

Awww.. Bongo, I love the picture, you look so hesitated. Don’t forget were you burry something, mark the place, if necessary 🙂

Cupcake, I didn’t do it. I didn’t dig that hole. My person is trying to frame me with that picture.

Hoomins have such long memories Bongo…When we see holes like that on our trails they’re usually turtle burrows…do you have turtles on your trails?
Bongo

Gizmo, no turtles on my trails, but we have lots of ground hogs. I think the ground got so wet that one of their holes collapsed.

Oh, Bongo, that look is priceless!!!! It’s obvious that you wouldn’t dig if there wasn’t a very serious reason to, but humans don’t get it do they?! 🙂

Marina, I didn’t do it. Really. Maybe Scratchy went out and dug that hole – or one of the ground hogs on my trails got really ambitious.

Ku, digging is awesome but around here you have to wait for a good rain so the ground is soft enough. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I think I understand what your face is saying in the second pic: you know that that hole has been dug by your person but you don’t want to disclose that you know it. She wanted to dig that cactus up and bring it home.

Thanks Kolytyi. I couldn’t blame the cat because he stays in the house so now I know who to blame.
