My little buddy came over today!
I was so excited when I saw him. He hasn’t been over here in a very long time.
Time to play ball!
My little buddy tossed the ball to me and I slobbered it up and brought it back.
And he tossed it again.
What fun! I could do this all day.
Wait! What are you doing?
You don’t need to get my younger person’s legos out of the garage?
Aren’t I more fun to play with than legos?
Pick up the ball. Pick up the ball.
Forget about those legos. Come on, the ball’s right there.
What are you doing now?
Stop looking at the camera. Can’t you see the ball?
It’s right here next to you.
No, don’t look at me. The ball, the ball.
Well yeah, I like loves but I want the ball.
All I want to do is catch the ball.
Pleeeease?
I don’t know what it is with people these days.
All I wanted was a little game of catch.
Those legos aren’t even good for chewing on and slobbering up.
I’m not sure what my little buddy sees in those things, but…
I give up.

Patrecia, that’s what I thought my little friend should do. I mean, he did come to see me after all. But he always wants to get out my younger person’s old toys that are still stashed around the house.

Benny & Lily, I’ll see what I can arrange. But don’t count on him tossing the ball to you.

He doesn’t seem to get the message, does he? Well, he’ll grow and see the light!!! Remember grown humans play better! 😉

Marina, I hope he comes over here again soon so I can work on training him.

Cats, it’s always a great day when friends come to visit. Maybe next time I’ll hide all the toys though – except the balls.

Patricia, I’ve got to hide those legos before he comes over here again. I’ll make sure the only toys in sight are balls.

A friend! A friend! How could he not notice that ball? At least there’s someone to watch – and talk with?

Karen, I know he saw that ball because he tossed it to me a few times. You’d think he’d like it even better after awhile because I got it good and slobbered up for him.

There’s nothing like a good game of catch, is there? Except of course chewing on the ball in between catches, I can see you’re a dedicated chewer! Do you also like pulling the ball’s fur off until you get to the chewy rubber centre?

Delft, I always chew up PetSmart balls when I get them, so my person hardly ever gives them to me. The real tennis balls last much longer.

Sorry, B. Looks like you’re on your own. Solo ball game. *yawn*

Cupcake, maybe you can come over and play with me. It’s no fun playing ball alone.

Poor Bongo! Little T loves you bunches though (even though he wanted to play with the Legos). Maybe next time he will play with you longer. Let me know when you would like for him to come over again. He would love to do that. 🙂

Missy, my little buddy can come over any time. But next time I’m hiding all the legos and bringing out all the balls.

Bongo, I think you’re right…to get rid of the Lego is the only way to let your little friend focus on you. Maybe you can make a new rule: first playing with you and after you’re tired he can play with his Lego 🙂

Great idea Little Binky. If I get worn out and want to take a nap, then my little buddy can play with the legos.

*sniff sniff* Poor Bongo…..I wish I would be there…to play ball with you.
I know your little buddy likes playing ball with you, so he migh get bored of Lego, soon! 🙂

Kevin, I would so love it if you could come and play ball with me. And I bet my little buddy would see how much fun we were having and would want to join in.

Oh Bongo. That stinks. You could try barfing into the bucket of Legos. That might help him lose interest in them. (Don’t eat them though, you could get sick!)
Bongo
August 24, 2013 at 12:23 pm
Great idea Donna. Next time I’ll eat a bunch of weeds before my little buddy shows up. That usually helps me barf. Then I just have to direct it in all the right places.
