Cactus or Puddle

11 Dec

Bongo, prickly pear cactus, and a little snowLook at this!

The only snow I could find on my trails today was being hugged by cactus.

I guess the cactus really likes the snow. It wouldn’t let it go.

Actually, I think it loves the snow. You see that heart on the cactus?

I put a heart on my blog yesterday for all of you, but I think this cactus is showing it’s affection for the snow.

.

Or maybe it loves me and the snow.

But my puddle has a different story to tell.

Bongo getting into and icy puddle

My puddle seems to want me to go away.

It grew some armor or something.

It’s all solid and crunchy on top.

But I’m not going to let that stop me.

Bongo in the icy puddle

Yikes! My puddle is cold inside.

I’m going to have to have a talk with my puddle.

Bongo in the icy puddle

Puddle, I think you need to get a heart like that cactus has.

And make sure it’s a warm heart.

It’s obvious that puddle needs to take lessons from the cactus, which has grown a fondness to you [not surprisingly so either!] 🙂

Marina, you’d think it would be the cactus that would try to push dogs away and not the puddle.

Yep, sweet Bongo we see that heart on the cactus how cool! You puddle just needs to shape up and get all that armor off so you can enjoy it again. Hope you got your paws all warmed up after tackling that armor. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, I hope my puddle shapes up again soon – but my paws did warm up because my person made me walk away. Hugs and nose kisses back to you.

Little Binky, I broke through that crust on my puddle okay, so I guess it’s okay if that stays as long as the water in my puddle warms up.

My puddles are all slippery ice here. I tried to eat some but it doesn’t work out very well.

Lola, my puddles here hardly ever turn into slippery ice. They try but then they turn back to water again. And my person tells me not to drink it for some reason.

I don’t understand that hard armor. There was some around here on top of the snow yesterday. It scared me.

    Love and licks,

Cupcake, I’m not sure why the hard armor either. You’d think our puddles would want to make it easy for us to play in them.

Dalton, there always seems to be something interesting happening on my trails – but sometimes I have to look harder for it. Today we saw two dogs and people on the part of my trails that hardly anybody else goes on. My person wouldn’t let me play with them though.

Kevin, as long as I just get my feet wet I can handle it. At least I won’t admit to my person that it’s cold.

Lily, we have strange cactus around here. Sometimes it gets all covered in snow.
