Missing Adventures

10 Dec

Bongo climbing onto a rockThis time of year on colder days I have to go to great lengths to find adventure.

There aren’t many people or dogs on my trails and most of my adventures start with people or dogs – or the mysteries they’ve left behind.

So I’ve been searching and searching for some kind of adventure on my trails.

No luck.

Nothing. Nada.

I hate to admit it, but I even looked for a bit of color so my person would get her camera out.

Even though I hate waiting for her to take all those pictures– unless there are some good smells in the area, that is.

But there’s not a single flower out this time of year.

Finally, I found something worth posting on my blog.

Not an adventure.

Not even a flower.

Prickly pear cactus shaped like a heart

I give you my heart.

Marina, I don’t know what my person would do if I didn’t give her ideas for my blog. And you’re right – my heart is nice and mushy.

Bongo would enjoy Fredrieka/Fred she is just now figuring out if she runs to fast she falls on her face in the ice and snow 😀

Fredrieka, I just wish I had some snow and ice to play on. I guess falling on my face wouldn’t be much fun though. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Same with Fred. Fred is part Greyhound and that part of her wants to run like it is summer. Way to fun to watch she has me in stitches. 😀

Oz, sometimes a cactus is hard to get close to, but this shows that it does truly love.

You found a heart. The perfect day. Where’s your new sweater

Lily, my person keeps telling me I don’t need a sweater because I live in Arizona. Maybe when it snows she’ll change her mind.

What a beautiful but a little thorny heart, don’t want to get too close. What is a too cold for adventure temp. Out there?

Lexie and Mica, I think it got below freezing one day – a little below. My person still takes me for walks every day but most people here are wimps and they stay inside so I don’t meet many dogs and people on my trails.
