Who’s Using My Kennel?

20 Dec

Bongo by his kennel which has clothes on top of itCheck this out.

Awhile back I got my own dog jail kennel.

I don’t always like being locked up in it, but it is kind of cool having my very own room.

It makes me feel important because my dog jail room takes up space in the house that could be used for other things.

That makes me special.

But something has happened.

My dog jail kennel is near my younger person’s bathroom and the laundry room.

So my younger person decided it was easier to use the top of my dog jail kennel as a shelf to put his clean clothes on.

Is this fair?

I mean, it’s my dog jail.

Shouldn’t it be used as a shelf to store my stuff?

My toys could go up there when I’m not playing with them.

And my treats. Yes, piles and piles of treats would fit up there.

I think if I tried really hard I could reach those treats too.

That would make it easier for my people.

They’d never have to bother giving me treats. I could help myself to them any time I wanted.

So how do I convince my younger person to move his clothes and put my treats there instead?

Oh yeah. I bet if I could reach treats up there I could reach clothes too.

I wonder what he’d think if I got them down and slobbered all over them.

They’d probably end up back in his room really quick.

After he ran them through the wash one more time, that is.

Time for treats!

My puppies have a cage, dog kennel or dog jail…they like being in there as it makes them feel safe. Also I know then that they can, t get up ho mischief like someone else I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best idea is to take younger persons clothes off the top and put them inside your personal room and use them as a cuddly cushion..then he might think twice about putting his rubbish on your roof

Patrecia, what a great idea. That would make my kennel nice and comfy and my younger person wouldn’t want his clothes back because they’d be full of my hair.

Sit there looking at them and then to your younger person. Just make sure to look really cute or really sad while doing it. Maybe you can “shame” him into it.

Kimberly, for some reason my younger person doesn’t go for cute or sad – but if I got dog hair all over his clothes he’d never put them near my kennel again. I think I’ll roll in those clothes now.

I would go and roll in the dirt, then go roll in the clothes. Though that could end up with you in Doggie Jail. /ponder

Had to laugh over your suggestion of “roof cleaning”. Actually we heard the German did this very tactic until someone got the point. german is a neat freak – devoured some of the offending the evidence, too.

Karen, do you think the German could come over here and help me?

He obviously left the clothes there for you to use as snuggly bedding in your kennel. Grab them, quick!

Great idea. I’m pulling them down and pushing them in my kennel right now.

Or if the clothes were chewed on-that would stop them from being piled on there. 😛 😛 😛

I’ll have to try chewing those clothes. I wonder if I could get my person to sew some squeakers into them. That would make them more fun to chew. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I think you could use the pockets of your younger person’s clothes as treat holders. Or as dust cloth. Your kennel has to gleaming and spotless! Or as a postbox for … mails.

Kolytyi, I like your ideas. I could use those pockets for treat holders and then after I eat all the treats I could deposit some peemail in them.

I jump high I could get them for you and we could play tug a war with them. Then we could drag them outside run with them and play tug a war again. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Well that just stinks. Can you reach them and drag them into their room? Snorts – that would teach them. XOXO – Bacon

Bacon, if I drag them into my younger person’s room he’ll just put more clothes back on my kennel – but if I get them slobbery and hairy he’ll think twice about using my kennel.

You definitely need to do that. Wallow, slobber and get them hairy – PLOL (piggy laughing out loud). XOXO – Bacon

Sometimes I really regret we didn’t cage train Bunk. It would be nice if he could have his own spot in the house as well.

Agata, I spent most of my life without a cage because my person figured I’d just bust out during a thunderstorm, but then she found out about these heavy duty cages and now I’m stuck. I go in for treats.

I love my kennel, it is my safe place, but for Sofie it is dog jail too. Mom stores out of season blankets on top of ours. That is just wrong. – Louise

Louise, you’d think we could at least have one place that is just ours – but somehow we’ve got to convince our people. They’re so hard to train.

That’s not right. You better post a No Trespassing sign

Good idea Lily. Maybe “No Trespassing or I’ll Eat Your Clothes.”

I was thinking the same thing, B. Bring those clothes into your jail and take a nap on top of them. I bet they wouldn’t show up again after that!

Cupcake, even if more clothes showed up I’d end up with a really soft place to sleep.

Bassa, you always have such wise comments. But I would like to use it to store all my treats – if only my people would get me enough treats to cover the top.

Bongo, why don’t you let your person use the top of your dog jail for his clothes, asking for treats as daily rental fee??? Then you can get your treats regularly!!! 🙂

Kevin, what a great idea. Anything to get more treats.

Ruckus, you’d think our people could put all their stuff in their own dens. After all, their dens are much bigger than ours.

Oh Bongo, I think we all know what would happen if treats were left on top of your jail. Why would your person want to go treat shopping every day?

Diane and Lola, my person doesn’t have anything better to do. Maybe she could even make me some treats.
