There has definitely been some mischief around here this weekend.
Weather mischief.
First, I saw my first cactus flower of the year.
I think that’s supposed to mean spring is here.
At least I guess so. We never did have winter this year.
Until this weekend, that is.
Because a little while after I saw this flower it snowed.
I don’t know what the weather’s up to.
No good, I think.
And these prickly pear cacti must have thought so too, because they decided to protect this lonely little flower.
And then my mischievous puddle finally decided to show up.
I was really happy to see it, but the way it’s been lately it’ll probably go off and hide somewhere again tomorrow.
It hasn’t been hanging around much lately.
***
But then my person had to add to the mischief.
She knows how much I don’t like waiting while she takes flower pictures.
So now she’s getting even worse.
She’s taking pictures of flowers before they even turn into flowers.
This is getting really serious.
All this mischief surrounding me.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do.
I think what I need is one of these.
I did spell that right, didn’t I?

Oh yes you do need miracles – snorts. Pretty flower though. I do appreciate that because it’s pink and would make mommy smile 🙂 At least you find Spring. I’m still searching… XOXO – Bacon

Purrfect spelling, Bongo! That’s a lot of mischief for one day! First snow, then the flowers …to be! What can I say. At least you got to see your puddle – even for a short while. Hm, have you thought of attaching the leash to your puddle [as well]?!!!! 🙂

Marina, great idea! I’ll have to bring an extra leash for my puddle since when I’m there my person is already attached. Maybe one with a bucket on it for the puddle, so it will have someplace to hang out.

Don, t try leaving messages on those cactus. I think you would get prickled.
if you want to spell miracle that way its ok with me cos I know you have a strange way of spelling indoggy language….
Keep an eye on that puddle..it might turn into a dry patch….seems to me that you are all having strange weather…snow, winds and rain and a tornado….stay warm and stay dry but above all..stay as sweet as you are

Patrecia, the weather has been strange this year all over the country, but I think my part of the country sent our winter to another part of the country because we didn’t get any and other places got extra. As for those tornadoes, I feel bad for the people who had to experience them. They mostly show up in the middle of the country.

Cannot understand why people risk theur lives by living in gornado alley

And some people live where they could get swallowed up in an earthquake. Here we just have to worry about turning into crispy critters in the summer.

GAH! Flowers and cacti are all slowing you down, B. It’s a conspiracy! You should hop into that MIRAKL car and take off!
Love and licks,

Have you ever considered staging an intervention? Tee Hee
I hope you’re having a fun day,

Snoopy, I’ve tried yanking on my leash. My person just accuses me of pulling mischief and yanks on it harder. We all know who the mischief maker really is.

I’m glad to see your puddle was back even though it was a short time. The pink cactus flower is pretty! She is so lucky to be protected by other cacties! 🙂

How could you move those (almost) flowering cacti next to your puddle? Your person could take as many pics of them as she wants, while you could splash in your puddle! Or if water lilies were growing in it…
Bongo

Kolytyi, that’s a great idea. Now I’ve just got to figure out how. Nothing grows next to my puddle because it’s on a big rock.
