Missing the Photo Ops

30 Apr

Bongo profile on the trailWe heard a really bad flute player on my trails today.

She was hanging out with the rock piles.

But my person wouldn’t take a picture.

Something about embarrassing the flute player.

I don’t know why she would have been embarrassed by having her picture taken.

Now if my person had recorded her playing the flute she probably would have hid under all those rock piles.

It would have been really embarrassing.

So we walked on and we saw a snake.

And my person still wouldn’t take a picture.

Something about the snake hiding before she could get her camera out.

She could have just yanked it by the tail before it got away.

It didn’t have one of those rattler things on it that I’m not supposed to play with.

But that didn’t happen.

So what does my person take a picture of?

Penstemon

Flowers!

Do you believe it?

All those good photo opportunities and she takes pictures of flowers.

So I decided I was going to do something about those flowers so my person couldn’t take any more pictures of them.

Bongo with penstemon around him

Help!

Those flowers must be powered by aliens.

Well handled, Bongo!!! Shame about the snake …but then I think you are both better off she didn’t ‘yank it by the tail’, it might not rattle but not all non rattling snakes are harmless! 🙂

Marina, my person says it was a harmless snake. We don’t often see them on my trails and when we do they disappear really fast.

Epicaldragon, once my person got some really cool photos of a bull snake in our driveway, but the snakes on my trails always hide almost as soon as we see them.

at least your person put you in the picture with flowers. Momwithoutpaws told a story one day about her Momwithoutpaws when she was little the best flute in the house was the cardboard tube left over from a toilet paper roll, they called it tootie doo, because it came from the human bathroom.

Fredrieka, I bet that person I saw would have been better off with one of those tootie doos.

But you look so pretty with those flowers in your photo Bongo. As for the flute player, was she young? Sometimes I would send my daughter outside to practice her clarinet – my Berner at the time, poor Clancy used to cover his ears and moan.

Diane, the flute player wasn’t young – but I think she was a beginner.

Lily & Edward, I try and try to train my person. I’ve finally decided she’s untrainable – but I’ll keep trying.

Marty, I keep threatening to take my person’s camera away, but I really need one that will record all the good smells. That would make the best pictures.

That first picture of you looks like the flute player was giving you a headache. Good thing your person moved on.

Patricia, I would have definitely had a headache if we’d stayed any longer.

Maybe the flute player was playing for the snake or just contemplating life in general…it gets like that sometimes when you are a human…you have to get away and tinkle with a flute….
Or maybe the rock piles are listening to music , however bad, rockpiles do not mind.
or maybe it was a signal to aliens to come so you can wear your tin hat.
whatever reason ….lots of love Bongo darling

Patrecia, maybe that snake came out because of the flute player. We don’t often see snakes on my trails. And maybe the snake chased the aliens away.

Kevin, I’m always keeping an eye out for aliens on my trails. I think most of them come out at night though when I’m home safe in bed.
