Left Behind Again

12 Mar

Drawing of Horse at Monument ValleyMy person went off again, and she took her laptop with her. My younger person won’t let me use his. How am I supposed to write my blog?

What? I’m writing it? What do you mean? I can’t write it. I don’t have a computer.

Oh yeah. My person wants me to tell you she helped me plan ahead. She knew she wasn’t going to leave her computer with me because she wanted to take it with her. And I can’t write about my adventures with my younger person before I’ve had them, so we’re doing something different.

A long time ago my friend Rumpy asked if I would let my person post some of her art work, so I thought I would be nice to her and let her do some of that this week. I’m being picky though. I told her she could do animals, or stuff we’ve seen on my walks. That’s it.

So what does my person do? She doesn’t even have any dog pictures, so she gave me one of a horse.

Yeah, I’ll tell them person. She says she was in Monument Valley a long time ago – before she got me – and took a photo that she really liked, so she finally decided to draw it. Monument Valley is on the Navajo Reservation near the border of Arizona and Utah. She says this horse had Navajo blankets and tassels on it.

Hey person, I could use a comfy Navajo blanket to lie on while I’m waiting for you to come back home.

Poor Bongo, left alone again… Your person can draw really well! And I think that Monument Valley is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!

I hope you’re not too lonely, Bongo. The horse picture is very nice, but I am afraid of horses in real life. I never actually saw one, but I’ve heard they’re considerably bigger than me, so I think I’m afraid of that.

I hope your person comes home soon.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Cupcake, the only horse I’ve seen in real life was a miniature horse that was on my trails once. It wasn’t much bigger than me. I might be afraid of one of those big ones too.

Thanks Bassetmomma. I think my person should have stayed home and done some more drawing – or maybe just stayed so she could take me on my trails.

Brown Dawgs, I’ve been trying to put the charm on my younger person, but he’s not into my trails as much as my person is. I’ll keep working on him.

That is a very nice drawing! Bongo, horses can be pretty boring, so no need to be afraid. Back in Sweden I went with my mom to work every day, and on the way there we used to meet horses from time to time. They were police horses and other horses that were taken out on training or rides, but they were so big and kept blocking my view of other dogs so I had to stretch my neck to see past them. I don’t mind horses, but I think dogs are way more fun.

      March 12, 2012 at 5:59 pm

Thanks Fenris. I’ve never seen one of the big horses, but I think I would probably like dogs better too. This is so funny. I just stopped by your blog to leave a comment and came back to find a comment from you here.

Yeah, I saw that too! 🙂 My mom saw some mini-horses in Sweden before we left. I would have loved meeting them!

The miniature horse I met on my trails was pretty cool. My person wouldn’t let me get too close though. She says she didn’t know what I would do.

        March 12, 2012 at 6:24 pm

I would probably have laid on my back for it (before I jump up for the love-attack as my mom calls it). I’ve done that to most animals I’ve met to show them I’m nice. I even did that do a rabbit once. He liked me too and kissed me on my nose from the other side of his cage when I got up again 🙂

Fenris, that would be cool getting kissed by a rabbit. I think I would want to chase it too much though.

Wow Bongo!!! The drawing is pawgeous! Your person is amazing and is very talented! I think that art works express the artists themselves, too! I feel as if I saw your person a bit through the drawing. 🙂
Although I am very sorry for you waiting for your person at home, I’m excited to look at your person’s works more!!!! 🙂

THe German: “Big woof Bongo! Sometimes you gotta keep your person happy. Maybe she’s just perfecting her art skills before attempting the most wonderful of creatures: dogs? Looks to me like she good enough to attempt your portrait…but you know humans worry so much about perfection. Enjoy a nap while you wait!”

Karen, my person says she’s tried drawing dogs but they turn out funny. I think she just needs more practice. Guess I’ll go back to my nap now.

Hey Bongo, Jet here. Sorry you’re feeling lonely, close your eyes and imagine your person right there. Hey Bongo, just got an idea… does your human skype? If so, your younger person can help you visit your human and not miss her so much. Gotta love technology!

Oh,and the artwork is beautiful… you know how we appreciate culture over here.
