This is Scratchy here. While Bongo is in the hallway trying to hide from all the thunder we’re having today I thought I’d sneak onto the computer and steal his blog. Actually our person said I could. She even told me to.
That’s because I have some news. Awhile back Bongo’s friends Geraldine and Mr. Cheddar had a contest at their blog My Real Life Reviews. Bongo wanted to enter it but the contest was only for cats and their people, so Bongo entered me. And guess what. I won!
I got three different prizes and the last one just showed up so I thought I’d share them with you – well, at least the pictures of them.
The first one was a bag with cats all over it. My person said she had a use for it so I thought I’d be generous and give it to her. Actually, I couldn’t figure out what I was going to do with that bag anyway.
Then a package came with a book in it. The book is called Crafting with Cat Hair. I was afraid Bongo would to steal all my hair and try to do something with it so I guarded that package carefully.
But the best package just showed up. It’s full of cat treats and a little catnip. It even came with a letter from Mr. Cheddar and now he’s my friend too.
My person put the treats back in the box, but even the box is good.
What, person? I didn’t understand you. I’m in this treat euphoria here.
What!? What do you mean I have to get Bongo something? Just because he entered me in the contest and I won?
Okay, fine. Here you go Bongo. I think some deer lost his antler so you can have it.

Congratulations, Scratchy! Winning is the best fun. I think you should give Bongo a kiss for entering you. ….too much?
Love and licks,

Thanks Cupcake. I would be afraid to give Bongo a kiss because he might give me a slobbery one back. He likes his antler though. -Scratchy

Congratulations sweet Scratchy! We think that was very nice of you to give sweet Bongo the deer antler after all had he not entered you in the contest how could you have won. Both of you have fun with your goodies. Hugs and nose kisses
July 25, 2012 at 10:53 am
Thanks Chancy and Mumsy. That reminds me, I need to get after my person to give me some more of the treats. She has to hide them or Bongo will eat them all – and chew on his antler too. -Scratchy

Congratulations Scratchy – those are really nice winnings! That was kind of you to give Bongo the antler for entering you in the contest. “Crafting with Cat Hair” – well, you certainly have a beautiful coat, so I imagine whatever gets crafted from your fur will be quite elegant and soft!
July 25, 2012 at 12:09 pm
Thanks Lindy. I’m not sure I can get my person to do anything with my hair, but she has a friend who works with fibers and recently did something with another friend’s cat’s hair. Maybe she’ll do something with mine. -Scratchy

Alfie’s jealous! He asked me to get him some as well… what have you started?! haha
July 25, 2012 at 3:58 pm
Alfie, you just have to have a dog who enters you in contests. I guess Bongo is good for something. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Bongo has lots of dog friends who comment on his blog and just a few cats. More cats are good. -Scratchy

We are so glad that all your prizes arrived Scratchy! Enjoy the treats, book and the tote bag too (your owner I mean for that one) 😉 You did a fine job writing this post. I’m glad you found something for Bongo too.
Geraldine and Mr. Cheddar.

Geraldine and Mr. Cheddar, thanks for all the prizes. They are extra special – especially those treats. That reminds me, it’s time to bug my person to get me out some more treats. She has to hide them so Bongo won’t eat them. -Scratchy

Great post Scratchy and I’m glad you gave dear Bongo a treat!
July 25, 2012 at 9:29 pm
Thanks Misty Shores. My person made me give Bongo that treat, but at least it kept him from wanting mine. -Scratchy

Sounds like everyone won!
July 25, 2012 at 9:30 pm
Patricia, I guess I’m glad now that Scratchy won that contest I entered him in. I never would have gotten that piece of antler otherwise and I really like it.
July 25, 2012 at 9:15 pm
Yay, congrats on your win!
Does Crafting With Cat Hair involve spinning the hair into yarn and then knitting with it? I hear people do that with dog and cat hair.
July 25, 2012 at 9:48 pm
Jen, my person has a friend that has spun cat hair and knitted it into the end of a scarf, but this book makes felt out of the cat hair and turns it into cat designs on things and cat hair finger puppets.

Congrats Scratchy!!!!! 🙂
How was your antler Bongo?
July 26, 2012 at 12:03 pm
Thanks Marina -Scratchy.
Marina, the antler is great! I love chewing on it. I guess I have to give Scratchy credit for something. -Bongo
July 26, 2012 at 12:58 am
Congratulations Scratchy. Great you won and so sweet of you to give Bongo the antler, I’m sure he appreciates it 🙂
July 26, 2012 at 12:05 pm
Angels Whisper, it was really cool winning the contest. My person said I had to give Bongo something though since he entered me in the contest. -Scratchy

Thanks Misaki. They’re nummy. -Scratchy

Hi Scratchy! *waving paws* Wow! Those pressies look fabulous! We never win anything….you’re lucky!
The last two pictures of you are so cute as we can see how you appreciate the cat treats!
What a sweet kitty you’re to give Bongo, one of your pressies! I always enjoy reading your post Scratchy! You should post regularly like June Buggie (Rumpy’s sweet brofur) does!!! 🙂
July 26, 2012 at 12:08 pm
Thanks Kevin. This is the first time I’ve ever won anything, and I don’t think Bongo ever has. I guess that’s why I had to give him something. Bongo gets really upset when I take over his blog so I have to do it when he isn’t looking. I’ll have to ask June Buggie how he manages with Rumpy. -Scratchy

Hey Scratchy, Moe here… congratulations on being a winner! I’d be very careful about cat hair crafts, especially if Super Glue is involved! You should give that bag another look-see though. We have all kinds of bags in this house & I’ve tried them all. They’re great for sleeping & hiding – sometimes Lola doesn’t even know I’m in one until I ‘surprise’ her….good friend Scratchy for remembering Bongo – family’s family.
July 26, 2012 at 12:10 pm
Hi Moe, I don’t think there’s any Super Glue in those cat hair crafts, but I’m still worried that Bongo might want to take all my hair. I think I might have to hide that book. I like that you surprise Lola by being in a bag. I might have to try that with Bongo. I bet he’d jump.
July 26, 2012 at 7:23 am
Catnip in a box, that’s glory for a cart like you 🙂
Be very carefull with the book, maybe you can put it in the bag you gave to your person, it will be away of Bonga that way, hehe.
Congratulations and enjoy the treats!
PS: poor Bongo and the thunders.
July 26, 2012 at 12:13 pm
Thanks YouKai. That might be a good idea – putting the book in the bag my person has. She won’t want Bongo to get into her bag so he won’t be tempted to take all my fur. I haven’t figured out why Bongo gets so upset at the thunder. It doesn’t bother me at all. -Scratchy
July 26, 2012 at 10:34 am
Well done Scratchy!

Hey Bongo, Hey Scratchy, Jet here.
Bongo, dude, you know I understand the thunder thingie… sorry you have to deal with it too.
Scratchy… congrats, what a windfall! Deer antlers rock, so, you made a very kind gesture of thanks to Bongo… good going!
July 28, 2012 at 3:30 pm
Hey Jet, I think we live in two of the worst places for thunder. If it wasn’t for my trails I think I’d tell me person to move and take me with her. I don’t think Scratchy knew he was getting me such a great thing when he got me that antler. I love chewing on it.

Know the feeling, if it wasn’t for the pawesome winters, we’d be out of here, too!
Deer antlers rock… JJ loves them especially!
