I saw this really strange thing on my trails. There are lots of strange things on them, but I think this is one of the strangest. I guess I’ll have to put on my Detective Dog hat and figure out what it is.
Maybe it was a rock, and when the rain came down it was carved into this shape. I’ve never seen rain do things like that before though.
Or maybe it’s a microphone for lizards. I never hear lizards say anything. Maybe their voices are too quiet so they need a microphone to be heard. I should wait and see if any lizards show up and tell them they can talk to me through this.
It could have been part of somebody’s necklace on a string and then the string broke and this part dropped and landed here.
What if it’s a very old piece of chocolate? I’d better check it out. It might still taste good.
Hey, wait a minute. Here’s a double one of these things. And it has some very tiny residents crawling all over it.
And I was hoping it was chocolate.

Marina, I think there might even be some singing lizards on my trails. I’m still waiting to hear them.

Bongo, your imagination never ceases to amaze me! Microphone for lizards indeed. Although, maybe not a bad idea. Could be interesting to find out what they are saying 🙂

Susan, I would love to talk to those lizards. Then maybe they wouldn’t always run away from me.

Cupcake, those ants are too little. There are some bigger ones by my house.

Whew. I thought it was a mud monster trying to break free!

Karen, good thing it wasn’t a mud monster because then I’d have to run home and get my Super Dog cape.

Misaki, my person made me stay clear. She was afraid I’d step on it and smash it before she got a good picture.

Angels Whisper, that’s probably what it is. We have so many reports of aliens and UFOs around here.

I was wishing it were chocolate too. By the way, can you eat chocolate?
I think it was an ants nest, take care of your nose or it will be bit by them and you can be allergic.

YouKai, my person won’t let me have chocolate. She says it’s not good for me. Once I stole some, before my people learned to hide everything from me, and I got kind of sick. I guess I’ve got to watch out for chocolate and ants. My person says those ant bites sting.

Kevin, I’m not allowed to have chocolate either, but it’s one of my favorite treats too. It is an ant’s nest. Some of the ants around here have been very creative lately.
