Back Home Again

08 Oct

SquirrelAt last! I can take that picture of me behind bars off my blog and get back to my adventures. My person finally sprung me from the dog jail hotel. I don’t know what she was doing, but it sure seemed like she was gone a long time.

Wait! You were doing what, person? What’s that picture on my blog? You left me in the dog hotel and went to hang out with other animals, didn’t you? And of all the animals you could think of, it had to be a pesky squirrel.

Wait a minute. Who else were you hanging out with? I’m gonna check through your pictures. You’d better not hold anything back on me.

What’s this? You were hanging out with —–cats!???

Scratchy, check this out. You were left behind and our person went to hang out with other cats.

Guinness

Mouse the Hairless Cat

Scratchy, look at this cat. Our person left you for a cat that doesn’t even have any hair.

Now, I get it. That’s why I found so many clumps of your hair around the house when I came home. You were trying to look like this cat so our person would come back home. Scratchy, you may be a little silly – but sometimes you’re alright.

I think we need to get together though and have a talk with our person about hanging out with other animals. Or maybe we should ignore her for awhile.

Hey, wait a minute. What do I smell? Don’t tell me our person was hanging out with even more animals?

A what? You got me a what?

Antler Chew

You got me an antler! Hey person, you can go back to Colorado any time you want. Just make sure to bring me more antlers.

Thanks Sweet Kitten. It’s great to be home. Even if all I want to do now is sleep.

    Hoorah Hoorah!!! Welcome home Bongo!!!!!!
Is this the twilight zone? What are all these non Bongo creatures?!
Oh, well, I know your person is even happier than you are! 🙂
Those antlers look tasty [I hope they didn’t come from some poor animal’s head!]

Marina, I think my person should make a no animal rule where she stays so I don’t get jealous. I sure hope she ignored those cats. Deer shed their antlers once a year, so no animal was harmed to get me that antler.

Wow, I didn’t know that! Actually I had no idea they were edible! One learns something new every day! About that rule, I have to say there’s no point in you being jealous really. Only one Bongo around! 🙂

Marina, I guess those cats really aren’t a match for me – or that pesky squirrel either. Those antlers last for a very long time and they’re fun to chew on.

    Eek, a Sphynx cat!

I do hope that Bongo enjoys the antler. I’ve heard some dogs like them very much indeed.

Jen, this is the second antler my person has given me. The other one got really small after I chewed on it for awhile. I love them.

it’s good to see you out of jail
And ready to go on your trail
I was going to send you a saw
But now you will not need it anymore

so good to see , you’ve been set free, with squirrel and a hairless cat
There’s not much you can say to that…………………
so I’ll send you love, and Scratchy too
      And also kisses..will that do?

Yay! You’re out of jail!! I can’t believe your person goes around hanging out with squirrels and other cats. gasp! Thank goodness she made up for it with that antler, but what did Scratchy get?

    • Bongo

      October 9, 2012 at 12:07 pm

Bassetmomma, it sure is good to be home. Scratchy just got loves. He doesn’t get treats because some of them make him sick – and he doesn’t play with cat toys. He’s happy with a sunny spot.

*drools* I didn’t know that we can chew real antlers…..can’t imagine how it taste! Besides it says “Rocky Mountain”! that sounds very precious one….
I’m glad to see you looking so happy, Bongo! Welcome back!!! 🙂

Kevin, antlers are the best – and they’re good for your teeth too. And they last a long time. Maybe you can talk your mom into getting you one. Thanks for the welcome back. It sure is good to be home.

Scratchy was probably lonely and was trying to build a fake Bongo from all the cat hair?
Glad everyone’s back in their assigned spot…. are there any good Colorado smells on Person’s shoes?

    • Bongo

      October 9, 2012 at 12:12 pm

Karen, Scratchy must want two Bongos now because he’s still putting clumps of his hair all over the house. I did smell some good smells on my person’s shoes but I really had to search for them through all the cat smells.

Nobody could take your place Bongo & you have to admit, Scratchy’s a very handsome dude too. You might have a little bit of work on your hands getting rid of all those stranger smells hanging around.

Diane and Lola, I guess I’ll have to do a lot of rubbing on my person. At least I can cover up those smells.

Seeing a squirrel in the house is a little unnerving!! Bongo are those antlers good, do they have flavor? I never have been able to get the girls to even taste one, they smell and walk away !:(

      October 11, 2012 at 11:05 am

Lexie and Mica, my person says that squirrel was outside on the porch but he stayed there and posed for pictures. He was posing for peanuts.

I think the antlers are the best. This is the second one my person has gotten me. There’s not much left of the first one, but I got a lot of good chewing hours out of it.

    Hey Bongo, Jet here.

Glad you got sprung! Those are pretty cool pictures, though… you gotta admit that…

Yeah, I would forgive many things and JJ would forgive ANYTHING for an antler! Mom found a cool antler almost a year and a half ago in N. Carolina. It looks like a “Y” and JJ loves it. 🙂

      October 14, 2012 at 9:00 pm

Hey Jet, those antlers really are the best, aren’t they. At least I get hours of chewing pleasure to make up for all that time in the dog hotel.

Glad you are out of jail, er, the hotel. Its me Ginger and I think if you were to ignore her for several days she may give you another antler.. hehehehe

Ginger, good idea. I tried the ignoring thing though – it was easy to do when I was chewing the antler – but then she said that W word and I couldn’t help myself.
