Tangled with Excitement

24 Oct

Bongo Tangled in his LeashI finally saw it. And I got so excited I got all wound up – and now I’m tangled up.

Bongo and a few red leaved mixed in with the green

Do you see it? You might have to look really hard. Behind me.

I’ve been looking all over for this. I’ve heard about it this time of year. Some places get tons of it, but on my trails it’s hard to find.

All the trees around here are green, and they stay green all year. The only things that have a lot of red on them are the rocks, and they stay red all the time. They don’t suddenly explode in red at certain times of the year.

So I’ve been looking everywhere for some fall colors. My person says there are some in other parts of Sedona, but on my trails they’re hard to come by.

So I’ve been looking, and I finally found the spot. It was hard to find. It’s not on the main part of my trails. But I found it.

The fall color spot.

At least, the fall color bush.

Well, the fall color part of a bush.

Anyway, here you have it.

A few read leaves

A few red leaves

Happy fall everyone!

Thanks Marina. Fall is the best time of year here. We have sunny days and it’s not too hot.

Thanks Patreciau. My person and I were disagreeing on where I should be going and that’s why I got all tangled up. It was really my person’s fault.

I see no color changing in here, but I finally got my candy corn so it’ll be a happy fall.
    Happy fall for you too.

Candy corn? I want some of that too. My person got some candy corn lights, but they just don’t taste the same.

Happy fall Bongo – we’ve got some very pretty colors here right now…huh, looks all the same to me except when those leaves fall down I like to run around & make crunchy noises in them. It’s really great when my buddy Colby stops by to play the game…Lola

Lola, leaves with crunchy noises sound like great fun. We don’t have any trees that drop their leaves in my yard, but my neighbors do. I might have to go visit them when the leaves start dropping.

    Love and licks,

Cupcake, it’s kind of fun to get tangled up sometimes. I like to see how frustrated my person gets when she has to try untangling me.

it’s like a scavenger hunt! Nice find. (Oh,the German says the tree colors are overrated- sh’e trade a few crunch leaves for your long trails anytime! Paw wave from the German)

Karen, send a paw wave back to the German for me. It would be fun to have crunchy leaves on my trails, but my neighbors will have some soon so maybe I’ll go visit them.

Ahhh, the classic dog-excitement-leash-tangle. The fun part is watching the human dance around trying to get the leash free!

      October 24, 2012 at 11:33 pm

Will and Eko, that is always fun because the better I can tangle myself means the more frustrated my person gets. The most fun is when I wrap myself around a tree with low branches.

Happy fall to you too, Bongo. Little Binky is a little frustrated, she doesn’t like fall. Her nest is gone and what’s left are some colourfull leaves like on your pics, she posted it in her last blog. Did you get out of the leash after all?

Angels Whisper, my person helped me get untangled – but it was her fault I got tangled in the first place. Maybe she should just take the leash off of me.

Lexie and Mica, it did take some sleuthing to find fall on my trails. There isn’t much of it.

    Many hugs for you.

YouKai, my person helped me get untangled. I think it would have been easier if she’d just taken my leash off.

Thanks Misty Shores. We don’t get much in the way of fall colors on my trails so I’ve got to take advantage of what I have.

Collies, we don’t get a lot of fall colors here – very little red, but some yellow. We have some trees that are just starting that get beautiful blends of yellow and green as they turn.
