Cactus Blockade

10 Nov

Bongo is out the doorThis is bad. This is really bad. I was heading across the street to say hi to my neighbors. I like to visit them because they give me loves.

But something was in the way. I was blocked.

Cactus Garden

My neighbors had put a cactus blockade between my street and their yard.

What does this mean? I know I could squeeze by those cacti and get through – but how long is it going to be before those cacti grow big and cover the whole area?

Are my neighbors trying to keep me out? That makes me really sad. I thought they liked me.

What to do? What to do?

Wait a minute. I think I see something down there.

An end to the garden

Is there an opening at the end of this cactus blockade? Maybe they wanted to give me a way in after all.

An opening at the end of the garden

I knew my neighbors still loved me. They could have put that cactus blockade all across their yard, but they didn’t. They knew if they did that I might not be able to visit and give them loves. What nice neighbors I have.

Maybe they just want to fancy their garden up with cactusses!

Dianda, that’s what my person said – but I didn’t believe her until I saw that opening for me to get through.

They obviously knew your fondness for cactuses but also wanted to make a special path for you!
    Ah, loving neighbors!!!
    🙂

Marina, my neighbors are pretty cool. And they said they’re even going to look for a new friend for me. I’ll have a new neighbor dog soon.

Of course your neighbours love you – who wouldn’t. They’ve definitely left a very special entrance just for you. I think they wanted to make your arrival feel more special, so they planted the cacti just for you.

Susan, I hadn’t thought of that. Maybe they’ll put up a sign for me that says “Bongo’s Entrance.”

B., there’s no way anybody would cactus you out. Meanwhile, you should practice jumping really high, just in case.

    Love and licks,

Cupcake, that’s a good idea. I’m a pretty good jumper. Even if it grows big I bet I could jump over it – except for that really tall one.

Oh Bongo! Of course your neighbours still love you! I think that nobody doesn’t love you! Probably like Marina said your neighbours knew that you like cacti, Bongo so that’s why they made those cacti space and the special path to welcome you! *whispers* please do not sniff and pee on them, Bongo! 🙂

Kevin, I’ll be sure not to sniff and pee on the cactus. There’s serious consequences to that – even if they don’t belong to my neighbor. My neighbors said they still love me – even after I showed them this blog post.

People are always changing things in their gardens, aren’t they! I try to join in and help with the holes, but my efforts aren’t usually appreciated.

Lola, you’d think they’d appreciate us digging holes so our people don’t have to. They can just put the new plants in where we dig. I can’t figure out why they never want to do that.

Hi Gizmo. My person says she’s been to Florida and it’s definitely very different than where I live in Arizona. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Your neighbors definitely left room for you to get in Bongo so they want you to be able to visit.

Patreciau, I’d love to see those burglars get prickled. Then I could run out and give them what for too.

    Hey Bongo, Jet here.

Dude, no one in their right mind would want to keep you out. Simply curb appeal, a beautification project, new things for your person to photograph… that’s all!

      November 12, 2012 at 12:44 pm

Hey Jet, do you think they put those cactus there just so my person could take pictures? Oh, no. She takes enough pictures already.

Thanks Angels Whisper. My neighbor told me I just wasn’t looking in the right place for the way through – and then she gave me some loves.
