Whenever we go out on my trails my person has her camera aimed and ready and she’s always looking for unusual things to take pictures of.
I wish she’d just enjoy the walk – I mean, nobody cares if there are pictures on my blog.
Unless they are pictures of me, of course.
But my person can take pictures of me when we’re at home. She doesn’t need to take her camera on my trails.
But this time my person really found something unusual to take a picture of.
It’s so unusual that I might have to run back home and get my Detective Dog hat to investigate what it might be.
This thing showed up at a spot where flowers often grow in the dry wash on my trails.
Oh yeah, for those of you who were wondering about the dry wash I couldn’t find recently – it showed up again. Funny how those things happen.
At first I thought this strange thing was another flower growing where the other flowers had been.
But then when I looked at it closer I realized it wasn’t a flower at all.
I think it’s some kind of toy.
It’s a pinwheel!

Defintely worth taking the camera..you are indeed the most handsome dog there is and you sure do make a lovely photo BUT.if person had not taken her camera on yhis walk we would have all missed seeing such a beautiful flower…morning glory or pinwheel..it sure is a winner (just like u) xxxxxx

Thanks Patrecia. I get really frustrated with my person taking pictures sometimes – but I guess she does get some good ones of me too.

Ah, this is the most beautiful pinwheel I’ve ever seen! Nature is the greatest artist!
It was worth taking the camera after all! 🙂

Marina, maybe I should attach a pinwheel to myself. Then my person would focus her camera on me.

Ah, you don’t need one, Bongo. You are a magnet to cameras! 🙂

Whether it’s a flower or a toy, it sure is pretty. And freaky!
Love and licks,

Cupcake, I hope it didn’t scare you. At least it wasn’t spinning like a regular pinwheel does.

My owner is glad me and my sister weren’t there as the flower is beautiful but we would have probably bitten the head off!!! We don’t mean to be naughty, it just goes with being little and things have to be tasted.

I agree about things being tasted. I’m not much into flowers, but cat food sure is good.

Oh Bongo, Phex says you are perfectly right. His human (me) takes photos all the time (and not only of him). It’s such a pest. 😉

Stanze, I’m sure glad I’m not the only one who has to put up with all the picture taking. It’s a real nuisance all right.

Is it a real toy? or is it a flower? Very interesting….Hmmm…to me, it looks like a pinwheel shaped flower because it has an insect in! 🙂

Kevin, it’s a flower. It’s a kind of morning glory. I’ve posted pictures of open ones before. This is the first time I’ve seen one partly open like this.

That is so beautiful, Bongo, I am grateful for you allowing your human to share your wonderful trails with us. And your wonderful pics as well, handsome as you are.

What a beautiful pinwheel, Bongo. I’m glad your person had the camera with her, so you could show us…but…it could have been more beautiful, with you standing next to it 😉

Little Binky, I agree. I don’t know why my person didn’t put me in the picture.
