The Worst Christmas Ever!

26 Dec

Bongo in his dog jail on his new bedI hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I didn’t. I had the worst Christmas ever!

Look at what I got. This thing I’m sitting on.

I got a new bed for my dog jail.

Nothing like sprucing up your jail.

I would rather have had something taken away than something new for my dog jail.

Like maybe the locks on my dog jail door. I could easily do without those.

But that wasn’t all that happened to me on Christmas.

I was tormented by cats besides.

.

First Scratchy tried to steal all my presents.

Scratchy on the floor with presents

Scratchy, those are my presents!

Then my younger person ignored me because he was reading a book about a cat.

Younger person reading Grumpy Cat book

He’s not even reading about a fun, playful cat. He’s reading about Grumpy Cat.

Fine. I’ll grump on his Christmas.

But to make things even worse I had to stop chewing on my new antler to pose for a picture.

Bongo with his antler between his legs

Well, at least I did get a frog for Christmas.

Bongo looking at a toy frog

A frog and an antler.

Bongo with his frog and his antler

But wait a minute.

Where’s my treats?

Bongo with a longing look

I thought I was getting treats for Christmas.

Bongo trying to get a treat out of a ball

Do you believe it!?

I have to dig my treats out of this ball.

I hope you all had a better Christmas than I did.

Stop wingeing Bongo..you had a nice warm house ..some dogs only had a cold floor.

you had presents like a frog, a new bed, and a kong. FATHER CHRISTMAS did not come to my house at all. I did buy my puppies a ball and a rope but Rosie and Charlie had nothing.
so stop being grumpy and have some fun

But Bongo… Just think… because you have to work for those treats, they will be that much yummier.

Try to look at your new jail bed this way… if you are going to be locked up in jail, then why not be more comfy right? Make it your palace! Yes, jail is still jail, but at least you can feel like a king in some ways right?

Kimberly, that bed is pretty comfy. I went and slept on it when I didn’t even have to. Don’t tell that to my person though.

Fredrieka, those clothes are still there. I think I’m stuck with them until my younger person goes back to that college place.

Well at least you got the frog. And the antler! Yum. 🙂
My pups got nothing. (Well, except the cookies Toby stole!).
I must be the worst dog mom ever!

Donna, I would steal cookies too but my person always puts them out of my reach. Merry Christmas!

Could you finally dig your treats our of the ball, Bongo? You look very happy with the frog and antler!!! I see a big smile on your face!!! By the way, Scratchy got his presents, too? 🙂

Kevin, I’m getting really good at digging treats out of that ball. I really did have a good Christmas, better than Scratchy. Scratchy hardly ever plays with toys so he just got treats for Christmas. But I did see him eyeing my frog this morning.

Do you believe it Lily? You’d think my people would be so happy that I was a good dog this year that the house would be filled with toys and treats for me.

Oh, don’t be sad Bongo. Christmas is about being happy in family, presents are a plus. You had some presents and that’s a lot already!
But, if you insist, I can give you a lot of hugs!
    Happy holidays!

YoouKai, hugs are the best! I’ll take those any day.

Bailey says he would share his treats with you if you lived closer. And Bailey doesn’t care much for cats either.

      December 27, 2013 at 11:12 am

Bailey, it’s too bad we don’t live closer to each other. We could chase the cats away and be great friends.

Yes Bongo, we will have to be virtual friends until we get to Heaven. Hopefully we can chase cats there too…? –Bailey

Awwww, Bongo, I think that your new bed is royal blue! It suits you perfectly! But who on earth has heart about a royal jail? I’m confused!

    • Bongo

      December 27, 2013 at 11:13 am

Kolytyi, I don’t get it either. My person says I have to go into dog jail to keep me out of mischief. I don’t know what she’s talking about. I’m the perfect dog.

Now Bongo, the antler looks like a very fine present. Other than the prime rib bone (ok maybe some new toys that I had to pull the eyes off), I had the steal, I mean help clean the counter and coffee table. Diane told me I was going to have nightmares from eating all that junk and I guess I did – she kept waking me up because my legs were scratching the wall and I was making crying noises. Boy I hate nightmares but all those snacks were tasty.

Lola, it’s totally worth the price to get all those great snacks.

poor baby…at least your dog jail is nice and comfy now. 🙂 well, cheer up, Bongo…maybe your treats are coming in 2014. some shipments get delayed with all the holiday rush… a belated happy holiday greetings to you (and Scratchy) and family. 😛

Sun, my person says I can’t keep making people feel sorry for me. I really did get some treats for Christmas – I just want more.

no worries, Bongo…times are hard and hey, one has to take care of oneself first in order to give back 300% to the community. i support your neediness for more treats even if you have to whine a lot to get some. 😛

I don’t know…I think it sounds like a pretty good Christmas. You could be living on the street or in a shelter with no loves.

      December 28, 2013 at 5:14 pm

Patricia, that sounds scary. Very scary. Maybe I should go to the shelter and bring another dog home for Christmas. I’m sure my person wouldn’t mind.
