Someone has been pulling mischief on my trails.
Just look at this!
They’ve been eating the prickly pear cactus.
This has got to be a real mischief maker for sure.
I mean, who would want to eat cactus?
Those things are full of pricklers.
But somebody has.
.
And I’m going to investigate.
Detective Dog to the rescue!
Here’s more prickly pears with bites.
I don’t believe it!
And this Detective Dog hat is making me smart.
I think I know who the culprit is already.
Because right here is where I saw that culprit the other day.
And if it wasn’t him, it was one of his buddies.
Now all I have to do is find the javelina with cactus pricklers sticking out of his mouth.

it must hurt to bite that plant. I would never do it..

Fredrieka, I try not to even go near those plants. Javelina must have really tough insides to their mouths.

Wall_E, those cactus would hurt more than our mouths if we got near them. But I guess those javelina have really tough skin – at least on the insides of their mouths.

Ouch!!!!!! I hope this fellow enjoys this prickly food and has some rather unique method of not harming himself, or else …OUCH!!!

Marina, that’s what I say. But those javelina eat prickly pear all the time. They must have figured out some way to do it.

What a silly big-oink-bacon-pig-boar-thing! Whee guinea-pigs would never eat something so prickly!

Pigs, you are much smarter than those javelina who hang out on my trails.

That picture is giving me a tooth ache and a tummy ache. Even without the spikes, it doesn’t look very delicious.
Love and licks,

Cupcake, my person has actually eaten it without the spikes, but it was cooked first. They eat it in Mexico and serve it at a Mexican restaurant here. But raw with spikes? Even my person wouldn’t try that.

I’ve got this one all sorted for you pal (about 1.26)

Dalton, I’m sure glad Baloo doesn’t hang out on my trails. There wouldn’t be any prickly pear left. Or on second thought, that might be a good thing. No pricklers.

Now I’m very curious about how those cactus taste….sweet? bitter? sour? They are really big bites, so must be delicious! 🙂

Kevin, I guess those javelina think they’re delicious. My person says they don’t have a lot of flavor, but she’s not sure what she can compare it to.

Snoopy, anybody that would take a bite out of a cactus full of pricklers has got to be brave.

OUCH! I cannot imagine anybody taking a bite out of a cactus! I hope you find out who is up to such mischief!

Oz, I try not to even get too close to those things.
