Blooming Yucca

23 Apr

Bongo looking at a yucca plantFor some reason there seem to be a lot of yucca plants blooming on my trails this year.

Usually I’m lucky to see one of two of them.

But this year they’re blooming all over the place.

Look, here’s another one.

Yucca plant beginning to bloom

This one’s just starting out.

But here’s one that’s halfway there.

And of course my person has to stop and take pictures of all of them.

I think I need to hide her camera.

Here she goes. Stopping again.

But sometimes there are advantages to having my person stop at all the blooming yucca plants.

Sometimes they come with good messages.

But then again, maybe it’s not so good having my person always taking pictures.

Does my butt look big in this picture?

Snorts – I ask my mommy that important all asking question almost nightly when she puts me to bed my friend. XOXO – Bacon
P.S. Of course it doesn’t. Your tail is in proportion to your back side. I’d give it a 10 – not that I’m watching or anything cause I’m a guy – snorts

Thanks Bacon. It’s good to have another opinion. Even if you are a guy.

Thanks Marina. I think I’ve finally figured it out. If I get in all the pictures my person won’t stop so often.

Cupcake, now I’m worried. Maybe I should go on a diet. Oh wait. That means less food, doesn’t it? Never mind.

Karen, that’s what I say. But at least they don’t hang around long. They’ve already fizzled out.

Well, your butt is only a little bigger than your head so don’t sweat it.

That looks a lot healthier than the yucca typist is trying to grow…o no wait a minute she’s not growing yucca she is trying to grow an aloe vera. Do you see what I have to put up with??

Dalton, just keep away when your typist tries to put the juice from her plant all over you.

Fredrieka, we have all kinds of yuccas in our yard that just came up on their own. They’re different though. They have taller blooms so they haven’t bloomed yet. They’re still growing tall.

Yucca flower looks so pretty! I’m just wondering what those thin thread things around yucca leaves are…because I can’t find them on the first two pictures…?

Kevin, I think those thin thread things don’t show up on the first two pictures because they’re on the inside of the leaf things and all that shows is the outside.

Ginger, when I first came here and still got to hang out in the yard – before I figured out I could jump the fence – I totally destroyed a very large yucca in my yard.
