Arbor Day

25 Apr

Bongo sniffing below a sunlit treeHappy Arbor Day!

Today is the day that everybody celebrates by planting trees.

Which is great, because trees are a good place for me and my friends to leave messages – and to check for them.

Bongo tied to and tangled on a tree

Well, maybe trees aren’t so great all the time.

Sometimes you can get tangled up in them.

And sometimes you can’t find the right way around the tree.

I take back what I said about Arbor Day.

We’ve already got enough trees.

Pigs, trees can be full of mischief. You’ve really got to watch out for them.

Uncle Tree, I really think trees are good. They can just get up to mischief sometimes and you’ve got to watch out for them. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

That happens to me a lot, B. Even when Mom ties me to her chair, I get tangled and end up choking myself trying to get free.

    Love and licks,

Cupcake, it just goes to show – nobody should be tying us up to anything.

Thanks Patrecia. I guess that stump needs another tree planted for it though – since it no longer has any leaves or anything.

That’s a beautiful day to celebrate …what’s a little entanglement to all the good they do?!! [I know you agree with me!] 😉

Marina, yeah, I guess I agree with you. You’ve just got to watch out for those trees sometimes though. They can get up to some real mischief.

Bongo you were just keeping that tree from wandering off.
(Molly helped celebrate by digging a new hole…she suggests a tree might fit…she will not answer if she dug up the squirrel’s acorn out of that hole…but is clacking something in her mouth)
    HAve a great weekend!

Karen, I dug a hole in my person’s garden but I can’t get her to plant a tree in it. I hope Molly did get that pesky squirrel’s acorn. Those squirrels are always up to no good.

I’m very jealous of you having enough trees to communicate with your friends Bongo….we don’t have much of them in our neighbourhood, so we have to be careful where we should leave a message….

Kevin, I would send you some of my trees, but my person says they wouldn’t have enough room in the airplane.

Collies, some of the trees on my trails smell pretty good because they have all kinds of messages on them.
