Not My Mischief

06 Oct

Bongo sitting next to the bedSomebody has been up to mischief.

And it’s not me.

Because I’m the perfect dog.

So here’s the story.

It was night, and at night I always sleep on the floor next to my person’s bed.

I’m nice and quiet all night and never bother anybody.

Sometimes I get bothered.

Like when somebody wants to leave the room in the dark and the door hits my nose.

I’ve got to sleep by the door in order to guard it.

.

But Gizmo – remember him?

Well Gizmo sleeps right on top of my person’s bed.

I don’t know why she lets him do it, but she does.

And Gizmo always wakes my person up in the wee hours of the morning because he has to go out and do whatever he has to do.

That’s usually when the door hits my nose.

But Gizmo got that mischief bug in him last night.

He woke my person up and she got up to let him out of the room.

But he didn’t go out.

Instead he found a new spot on the bed.

Gizmo on an unmade bed

My person’s spot.

poor Bongo, fancy getting your nose banged in the middle of the night. I think I would be less than happy if that had happened to me. I could get on my broomstick, hope over to your place , and kiss it better.
Gizmo has certainly made himself number one cat…what a liberty….on the other hand who would want to sleep next to somebody’s smelly feet

Fredrieka, I think you’re right. If I got my person up at night I could steal her spot too. I might have to shove Gizmo out of it though.

Thanks Goldendoodles. It’s kind of a rude awakening when that happens.

HA – no doubt a warm snuggly spot. That Gizmo simply won’t follow the routine and rules. (PS Molly and RC have a truce. RC sleeps at the foot of the bed at night while Molly guards the door/hall from her nice soft bed that hasn’t been chewed yet. And when one of staff gets up in the morning, RC gets down and Molly jumps up on the bed…just to keep that spot warm …in case RC wants to come back….but she never does.
    Watch out for that Gizmo!

Karen, Gizmo is up to no good for sure. Sometimes he doesn’t even get off the bed when everyone else gets up.

Wow Bongo maybe you should lay down in the other direction so the door only hits your butt. You have to take good care of your nose.

It’s kind of embarrassing when the door hits my butt.

Haha – Good mischief Gizmo! However, I have a feeling you may not have bed privileges for too long buddy? 🙂

    I hope you’re having a fun day,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

Snoopy, if I have anything to say Gizmo’s bed privileges are already over.

BOL! Gizmo……he is so clever to find a spot where it must be the most comfortable in the house!
You, too Bongo! You’re clever, too because you guard your person!!! 🙂

Kevin, I think I should get the most comfortable spot while I’m guarding my person. Cats seem to have all the luck.

Gizmo is right. Your person should not go back into the bed. She should nurse your poor snout.

Kolytyi, you’re right. I should get lots of loves – and treats.

Ha! Gizmo is tricky! I like Mom’s spot on the bed, too. If she gets up in the night, I always move to her nice, warm spot on the bed. Then when she comes back, she says the word, “Shove over, chubby.” Which I think is rude of her.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Cupcake, at least my person made Gizmo move. Now I don’t feel so bad.

I would have made Gizmo leave the room that night so hopefully he wouldn’t try that again!!

I think I’ll make Gizmo leave the room and then I’ll lock him in dog jail.
