It snowed today, but I’m not sure what happened. Last time it snowed here I found all kinds of snow creatures. This time, nothing. I think there might be some in those rocks up there. Those rocks are a lot whiter than usual and snow creatures are white. So that might be them hiding up there.
I’m not sure why I saw snow coming down all day, but the ground is just wet. Shouldn’t it be white and slippery when it snows? I did find a few slushy weeds on my trails. They were extra good, but my person would only let me get a couple bites in before dragging me away.
Oh, wait a minute. Here’s something that wasn’t here before. Puddles and squishy mud! This is alright! Keep walking, person. I’ve got to see how much mud I can squish.
Oh, look! It’s back! My puddle came back! Puddle, where have you been? I’ve missed you so much. I didn’t know if I would ever see you again. I’m so glad you came back. Were you lost? Did the snow creatures take you away with them? Did they drop you off before they went up on those rocks? Puddle, it’s so good to see you again.

Sweet Kitten, I had great fun in the puddles and squishy mud.
April 16, 2012 at 11:12 am
I am happy to see that your puddles came back…I know how much you love playing in them.
I bet they came back just because they knew you missed them.
April 16, 2012 at 11:14 am
Penny, I think my puddles missed me too. They like my happy feet splashing through them.
April 16, 2012 at 11:15 am
Snow? My goodness it’s 88 in Massachusetts today! But those puddles surely look enticing although maybe you should have some Bongo Boots… I know they have sneakers & I’ll ask if they have boots – what’s your size?
April 16, 2012 at 11:19 am
Diane, Bongo Boots would be fun. I could make better splashes in my puddles. I don’t know my size though. I’ll have to get my person to measure my feet.
April 16, 2012 at 11:15 am
I am happy that the your puddles came back to you…:-)
I know how much you like to play in them!!!
I bet they came back just to make you happy…:-)
April 16, 2012 at 11:37 am
Pretty scenery! Did you need a b-a-t-h after splashing through all the mud and puddles? 😉
April 16, 2012 at 11:44 am
Lindy, I’m still waiting for my bath. I like getting wet so baths are fun.
April 16, 2012 at 1:05 pm
Yay! Your puddle is back!
April 16, 2012 at 1:26 pm
Bassetmomma, it’s so much fun having my puddle back. Splash, splash!
April 16, 2012 at 2:11 pm
Your puddle is beautiful, Bongo! Ditto the mud. Do you get your feet washed when you go home? I am not even allowed to step in puddles or mud, but Mom still cleans my feet with baby wipes every time I go out. If I went to your puddle, I would drink it, eat the mud and dig a filthy hole and sit in it.
Love and licks and clean, shiny paws,
April 16, 2012 at 2:20 pm
Cupcake, my person won’t let me drink the water or hang out in a puddle very long, but at least she doesn’t clean my feet. I think she gave up on trying to keep the carpet clean.

April 16, 2012 at 7:24 pm
I’m not sure what a puddle is but glad you had fun with it.
April 16, 2012 at 7:45 pm
Teddy, I’m not sure if you would like my puddle, but I sure do.
April 16, 2012 at 9:10 pm
Oh wow, snow. It was 80 or so here today. I can’t say I’d trade you ^^
April 16, 2012 at 9:23 pm
Jen, the snow is gone now and it’s warming up again.
April 16, 2012 at 10:52 pm
Bongo, I feel a bathtime coming on!
April 16, 2012 at 11:29 pm
Woo woo Monica. I love baths!
April 17, 2012 at 12:13 am
Bongo, I’m so happy for you the puddle came back, and as I can see it’s enormous. That must be a real party for you over there 😀
April 17, 2012 at 11:08 am
Angels Whisper, my puddle was so big that not all the water could stay in it. Some of it was running out again. I sure love splashing around in it.
April 17, 2012 at 2:00 am
I’m so happy that your puddle returned, Bongo!
April 17, 2012 at 11:08 am
Marina, finding my puddle again was pretty awesome.
April 17, 2012 at 2:55 am
I’m glad to see that you got your puddle back, Bongo!!! Did it snow there? Wow……the weather in your place is very changeable, isn’t it? Because it was very hot a few days ago like people wanted to take of their clothes!!! and then snow again? You might see your snow creaturs again during summer, too, Bongo!!! I hope you do! 🙂
April 17, 2012 at 11:11 am
Kevin, our weather has been really unusual this year. It snowed all day but only stuck to the ground a little in the late afternoon. Then left again. Now the weather is warm again. Usually when a storm passes through it stays cold for several days afterwards but it’s warmed up right away after the last two storms. If I see snow creatures here this summer I’ll know something really strange is happening. It’s always hot here in the summer.
April 17, 2012 at 7:10 am
Snow? This time of the year?
April 17, 2012 at 11:13 am
Dianda, it’s not unusual for us to get a few snow flurries this time of year, but it’s really strange for us to get this much.
April 17, 2012 at 5:06 pm
That squishy mud looks awfully promising.
the brown dawgs
April 17, 2012 at 5:41 pm
Brown Dawgs, that squishy mud was a lot of fun. I’m not sure why, but it all went away and there’s just dirt on my trails now.
April 17, 2012 at 6:21 pm
YAY!!! We are so happy your puddle is back! YAY!!! 🙂
April 17, 2012 at 8:06 pm
Collies, it’s so much fun having my puddle back. I really missed it.
April 17, 2012 at 6:44 pm
Hey Bongo, Jet here.
So glad to see your puddle returned… enjoy it my friend. Still can’t relate to that snow stuff… the squishy part… that’s another story… Good job for accumulating as much as you can!
April 17, 2012 at 8:09 pm
Hey Jet, I wish you could come visit when we have snow. You would love it. It doesn’t stay around here long though so we might have to go into the high country to find some – but the high country isn’t very far away.
April 18, 2012 at 3:08 am
Hey Bongo… oh how awesome would that be… we would relish checking out your inviting trails…. hiking, squishing, detecting…
April 17, 2012 at 9:34 pm
I think your almost snow was better Bongo because it brought the squishy mud and your puddle back what a great gift:-)
April 17, 2012 at 11:44 pm
Lexie and Mica, squishy mud and my puddle are pretty awesome. They both feel so good to splash around in.
April 19, 2012 at 3:57 pm
Oh Dog! Did the snow go swimming in the puddles?
April 19, 2012 at 4:23 pm
Rumpy, I didn’t think about it but the snow must have tried to go swimming and drowned. No wonder there wasn’t any on the ground.
April 24, 2012 at 7:24 pm
Yay for puddles!
April 24, 2012 at 11:02 pm
Sunshine, it was awesome finding that puddle back – but it didn’t stay for long. Yesterday I couldn’t find it anywhere.
April 24, 2012 at 11:33 pm
I hate when that happens . . . you better find out who drank it up! Catch those culprits and give them the heave ho! 🙂
April 24, 2012 at 11:37 pm
Sunshine, it might be the coyotes, but my person said something about my puddle shrinking from the sun. I can’t imagine why it would be scared of sunshine. You’re not scary.
April 25, 2012 at 8:29 am
Bongo, you are not only a handsome pup, but smart, woooweee, super smart! 🙂
April 25, 2012 at 8:59 pm
Thanks Sunshine. I think I’m starting to blush. Good thing you can’t see it under my hair.
