My person’s sister and some friends from Washington State came here to visit me. It was really great except for two things. I thought they would want to have some Arizona weather while they were here – but they decided to bring their weather with them.
.
.
.
.
It’s been sunny every day for about a month and it’s supposed to be sunny again tomorrow, but while they were here we had rain. And thunder. I don’t know where that thunder came from, but it kept up most of the night.
And the second thing was – they captured my person and took her with them, and they didn’t take me. They came all the way here to visit me and they left me at home.
They went to a place where there wasn’t any rain to see a castle that was owned by some dude named Montezuma. Nobody lives there anymore. I can see why. I think somebody stole the stairs.
I guess God finally decided that we’d had enough rain here and it was time to send it back to Washington, because when they headed back to Sedona they saw a rainbow holding up the rain so it couldn’t hit the ground.
Are you people done traveling around for awhile? My turn now.

The lowering sky is impressive, and the rainbow looks beautiful.
But sad to see you back in black Bongo! I hope the bad weather goes away quickly.

Now that is downright naughty,,,they come to visit then all buzz off to see a pile of old bricks…I am not surprised that you got a bit peeved..but at least there was a lovely rainbow to brighten your day

Patreciau, I wouldn’t have minded them going to see those old bricks if they’d just taken me with them. My person said dogs aren’t allowed there though. Who would make up a rule like that?

Delft, the rainy weather left as soon as my person’s sister left and it’s sunny and beautiful again. I got to take my anxiety vest back off.

Oh, Bongo you look stunning in your thundershirt!!! 🙂
I wonder why they didn’t take you with them. You’d have great fun looking for the ghost of Montezuma. [I mentioned ghost and I remembered your friend the ghost dog. I wonder how he’s doing.]
BTW is that the remaining antler in your mouth?!
Bongo
October 14, 2012 at 9:48 pm
Thanks Marina. I haven’t seen Ghost Dog in a long time. I don’t know if he still lives around here, but he left once and came back so maybe he’ll come back again. That is the antler in my mouth. My person didn’t give me a whole antler. I guess she didn’t want something that big sitting in the middle of the living room.

Jaz, I’ve got to get my person to take me next time. I’m not sure if I can jump high enough to get into it though.

Would you mind taking a photo of that sign?
No rush…someday…:-)

Penny and Alexander, I’ll tell my person to take a picture when she’s down there again. She says most of the time she’s driving by herself, so she might have to wait until she’s in the car with someone else.

Awesome rainbow! Are you back to wearing your Thundershirt? I hope there wasn’t any naughty thunder.
Love and licks,

Thanks Cupcake. There was thunder that came along with that rain – but when my person’s sister left the rain left with her. I think it went back to where she lives.

You’re just pretending to play dead right Bongo? I thought you chased all that thunder away for good. Must be the visitors playing tricks on you.

Diane and Lola, the visitors brought that rain and thunder with them. But when they left it did too. My person says she got an email from her sister and she was good enough to take that rain back home with her.

Love that particular castle, Bongo. Even id you didn’t get to go, I’m glad they got to visit in good weather. Nice they had a rainbow assist!

Karen, they were lucky that the rain didn’t follow them to that castle. I hope they take me next time though.

Whoa! Love that rainbow! Did ya find a pot of gold? Or at least get a belly rub?
Bongo
October 14, 2012 at 9:55 pm
Rumpy, I’m still looking for that pot of gold but I think it should be in my house because my person says when they were driving home for awhile the rainbow ended right near my house. The gold must be hidden in a closet somewhere.

The rainbow is so beautiful! We haven’t seen rainbows for ages…..don’t remember when we saw it for the last time…I’m jealous of you, Bongo! Your friends look very happy to see you!
Wow, Montezuma Castle is famous as one of the healing places in Alizona, isn’t it? It looks stunning! 🙂
Bongo
October 14, 2012 at 10:01 pm
Thanks Kevin. Next time we get a rainbow I’ll have to send it your way. Montezuma Castle is famous. It’s an old Indian ruin. Indians lived there a few hundred years ago and then all of the Indians left the area suddenly and nobody is sure why. This is one of many Indian ruins in the area and probably the most famous.

That was terrible weather to bring to Sedona and its good that it went back to Washington and left the beautiful rainbow. Montezuma was a really beautiful place but I agree it would be really difficult to get up there?!
Bongo
October 14, 2012 at 10:04 pm
Lexie and Mica, my person says her sister took her weather back home with her – but it was nice of her to leave the rainbow. The Native Americans who lived in Montezuma’s Castle a long time ago made it hard for their enemies to get to them – but they made it hard for themselves at the same time.

Call me crazy, but I love Washington State weather. Having lived there for a spell, I appreciated the many days we could hunker down before a fire and read a good book!

Monica, my person agrees that hunkering down before a fire with a good book is special – but our warm, sunny days this time of year sure are nice too.

Bongo, this is so not ok: bringing bad wether, leaving you at home alone again, with thunder… and when they left everything was fine again. Are you sure they didn’t flown home on a broom 😀
Bongo
October 17, 2012 at 4:45 pm
Angels Whisper, I think they did fly on a broom – but I hope they had something around that broom to keep the rain off since they took it back home with them.
