Finally! I finally got to meet him. My new neighbor Toby.
We were heading back from our walk – my person and I, that is. And we saw one of Toby’s people out in his yard. So of course I had to go over and say hi.
And when Toby’s other person saw me there she told Toby to come out and meet me.

We sniffed here…
and we sniffed there.
Hey person, you left out some of those sniffing pictures. What’s the deal? Where are they?
Not the one where I’m sniffing the shoe!
People! Sometimes they just don’t get it.
Anyway, remember that walk I took around the block the other day? Well, this time I got to take a walk around the block with Toby.
And now I have a new neighbor – and a new friend.
Hey person, can we go for a walk with Toby again tomorrow?

Marina, I had to be serious for awhile so Toby would feel at home. He’s still not quite comfortable in his new surroundings. My trails scare him because he’s never been in the woods before, so that’s why we went for a walk on the street.

Toby does look a little insecure – glad you, the expert trail guide, is there to convince him it’s not only OK, but a terrific place. It’s always hard to be in a new place – glad you were able to welcome Toby to the neighborhood

Karen, I think Toby and I are going to be great friends. He’s never been in the woods before and his person says he’s afraid of my trails. I’ll have to introduce him gently.

Thanks KidLitReviews. I’m glad you enjoy my blog. Toby and I got along really well, and that’s saying a lot because I don’t always like other dogs the first time I meet them. I’m not sure about my person though. She’ll post pictures of things like flowers on my blog, but she won’t put all the sniffing pictures up. I don’t think she even took those pictures.

tell person..you sniff the rear to make sure that each dog has the correct tail! Oh I am so happy that you have met Toby. He looks really splendid and will be a good friend for you to go walkies with. You can show him your trail with all the strange things on it
