It’s definitely time to put on my Detective Dog hat again. You see this puddle here? Well, we haven’t had any rain for weeks and this puddle should not be here. I have no idea where it came from or what it’s doing here.
I guess I’ll look for clues to see if I can figure out what’s going on.
Maybe there’s some water coming from that wash up there.
Nope, don’t see any.
Nope, this puddle’s still missing. I thought maybe my favorite puddle would give me some clues, but as you can see, it disappeared.
It’s been gone for a very long time. I sure would like to know where it goes to.
I’ll check the missing puddle for clues anyway. Maybe some water will start gurgling up and I’ll have my puddle back again.
I give up. I’m getting nowhere with this. Puddles are so unpredictable. They’re here and then there not here. I just can’t figure them out.
I might have to fill this one up myself.

You’re right, they are very unpredictable. However if you continue filling them up, that may change!

Marina, I’ll keep working on that filling up things. I miss my puddle when it’s gone.
December 5, 2012 at 11:25 am
Good job Bongo. Keep those puddles topped up!
December 5, 2012 at 11:40 am
Misaki, I’m working at it but I think I have to bring some more water with me.
December 5, 2012 at 12:50 pm
You’d better get drinking a lot of water if you plan on filling up that puddle Bongo! LOL!
December 5, 2012 at 5:19 pm
Bassetmomma, it’s gonna be hard. I have to walk a ways before I get to that puddle and by then I don’t have much water left.
December 5, 2012 at 2:32 pm
Puddles are obviously as unpredictable as people Bongo, good luck on your puddle search. 🙂
December 5, 2012 at 5:35 pm
Jaz, that puddle is coming and going all the time. I wish I knew where it went to when it goes.
December 5, 2012 at 5:37 pm
LOL, kind of like people huh? 🙂

Benny & Lily, you never know what puddles are going to do. One day it’s here and the next day it’s gone. That other puddle is gone now too.

Hey, Bongo, our blog makes snow, so I stayed a little longer on yours, to help you fill your puddle. Is it full now 🙂
December 6, 2012 at 11:40 am
Thanks Angels Whisper. I’m always so happy when my puddle is full. And once that snow got over here it would have melted and turned to water in my puddle right away.
December 6, 2012 at 2:22 am
Your puddles are the most confusing in the world!
December 6, 2012 at 11:41 am
Dalton, I sure wish I could figure out those puddles. They never make sense to me.
December 6, 2012 at 5:05 am
your puddle needs all the help it can get!!!!!
December 6, 2012 at 11:41 am
Patreciau, I’m trying to get my puddle to come out of hiding. I’m not having much luck though.
December 6, 2012 at 7:17 am
Hmmm…yes Bongo….it’s very weird…I’m very curious where the puddle come from without any rain…..you have a little river in your neighborhood? Woof?
December 6, 2012 at 11:42 am
Kevin, I don’t know where that puddle came from either. Maybe the coyotes had a party and they all watered it.
December 6, 2012 at 10:20 am
Well Bongo, I can’t drink my puddles any more – but I can walk on them. I must be special cause I can walk on water now.
December 6, 2012 at 11:44 am
Diane and Lola, you must be very special because I’ve never been able to do that. A few times I thought I could but the water went crunch and my feet went through to the cold, wet stuff.
December 6, 2012 at 12:20 pm
Maybe your favorite puddle just moved to a new location? Maybe it wanted a new view? Or more room?
December 6, 2012 at 5:53 pm
Remy, my puddle is always moving to a new location – and then it comes back for awhile. It’s been gone for a long time now though. I wish I knew where it went.

It’s time for some Sherlock Bongo!

YAY!!! Trevor would have joined in….. if there is no puddle you can always make one! 🙂
December 14, 2012 at 10:52 pm
Collies, I wish Trevor could join me. Maybe the rest of you can come over and help.
