Water in the Puddle

05 Dec

Bongo and PuddleIt’s definitely time to put on my Detective Dog hat again. You see this puddle here? Well, we haven’t had any rain for weeks and this puddle should not be here. I have no idea where it came from or what it’s doing here.

I guess I’ll look for clues to see if I can figure out what’s going on.

Bongo Looking up the Wash above the puddle

Maybe there’s some water coming from that wash up there.

Nope, don’t see any.

Bongo at the place where a puddle used to be

Nope, this puddle’s still missing. I thought maybe my favorite puddle would give me some clues, but as you can see, it disappeared.

It’s been gone for a very long time. I sure would like to know where it goes to.

Bongo sniffing where the puddle used to be

I’ll check the missing puddle for clues anyway. Maybe some water will start gurgling up and I’ll have my puddle back again.

***

I give up. I’m getting nowhere with this. Puddles are so unpredictable. They’re here and then there not here. I just can’t figure them out.

Bongo watering where the puddle used to be

I might have to fill this one up myself.

You’re right, they are very unpredictable. However if you continue filling them up, that may change!

Bassetmomma, it’s gonna be hard. I have to walk a ways before I get to that puddle and by then I don’t have much water left.

Benny & Lily, you never know what puddles are going to do. One day it’s here and the next day it’s gone. That other puddle is gone now too.

Hey, Bongo, our blog makes snow, so I stayed a little longer on yours, to help you fill your puddle. Is it full now 🙂

Thanks Angels Whisper. I’m always so happy when my puddle is full. And once that snow got over here it would have melted and turned to water in my puddle right away.

Hmmm…yes Bongo….it’s very weird…I’m very curious where the puddle come from without any rain…..you have a little river in your neighborhood? Woof?

Kevin, I don’t know where that puddle came from either. Maybe the coyotes had a party and they all watered it.

Well Bongo, I can’t drink my puddles any more – but I can walk on them. I must be special cause I can walk on water now.

Diane and Lola, you must be very special because I’ve never been able to do that. A few times I thought I could but the water went crunch and my feet went through to the cold, wet stuff.

Maybe your favorite puddle just moved to a new location? Maybe it wanted a new view? Or more room?

Remy, my puddle is always moving to a new location – and then it comes back for awhile. It’s been gone for a long time now though. I wish I knew where it went.
