Mischief Failure

17 Dec

Bongo waiting outside in a puddleWe finally had our first snow of the season and I wanted to go out and play. But for some reason I couldn’t convince my person to come out and play with me. I think I even made up a new rule for Snoopy’s Mischief Master Class – Look Forlorn – but it didn’t work. I guess Snoopy doesn’t need to add that one to the book.

Finally, I convinced my person to go for a walk on my trails with me.

Bongo heading for the weeds on the trail

I think weeds taste better when they’re mixed with a little snow.

Bongo at the weeds on the trail

Yup, this looks pretty tasty.

Bongo chomping on weeds with snow patches

A little snow dressing. Definitely my preferred way to have my salad.

Okay, now I’m full. Time for a little exploring.

Bongo heading into a wash

Hey person, this looks like the best way to go today.

Bongo stepping into a puddle

Hey, this is delicious. Just what I needed to wash down those weeds.

Bongo enjoying the puddle

Come on in, person. The water’s fine!

I’m not sure why, but I don’t think my person wants to go this way.

Whenever we try to eat salad out in the yard, we get sick to our tummies! Does snow help?

Kat n Collies, certain kinds of yard salad make me sick too – but I finally learned which ones I can eat. The snow just gives it a little extra crunch.

We don’t have much of a variety here, sadly are limited in our grazing choices! 🙂

Marina, I think my person would have had great fun splashing around in that pond with me.

Oh, Bongo, your “Forlorn Look” is most effective! We like to graze, too, with or without snow.

Roberta, I thought I did a pretty good job with that forlorn look, but my person still wouldn’t come out in that wet snowy yard to play with me.

That is the tiniest snow I ever saw. I guess making a snowman is not a possibility….. You’re a most adorable snow angel, anyway, B.

Cupcake, it was a pretty puny snow, but around here you have to take what you can get. We don’t get a lot of snow, although we did have a couple good ones last year.

Patricia, I’m not sure why but you’re so right. Somehow I’ve got to convince my person to go splashing around with me.

Benny & Lily, I think my person is missing out on a lot of fun. I’m just not sure how to convince her of that.

Angels Whisper, I think you’re right. You and my person would both have a lot more fun if you did a little splashing around with me.

Dalton, the sad look didn’t seem to work at all. I think I’m going to have to try something else next time.

Dalton, that’s gotta work. I don’t see how anybody could refuse two sad dogs.

that is only a sprinkle of snow…we have had masses of it but Benji, Rosie and Charlie still go out for their walk. Guido does not go because of his bad foot…so I stay home with him

Patreciau, I love walking when there’s lots of snow and my person does too. We just don’t get it very often here.

Bassa, now I’m feeling forlorn because the little bit of snow we had is gone. I love playing in the snow.

Your forlorn look makes me sad….*sniff* Hmmm….I wonder why it didn’t work to your person????
That snow dressing salad sounds yumyum! I like the snow picture with cacties! 🙂

Kevin, my person said something about not wanting to splash around in all that water in the yard. She’s missing out on all the fun. But that snow dressing salad was pretty yummy, and I got extra time at it because my person was busy taking pictures.

I’m glad you finally talked your person into a walk, Bongo! And the snow looks so beautiful — just the right amount I think 🙂

Remy, I can usually get my person out on my trails – but I couldn’t get her to follow me on the most fun ones. You know, the ones full of water.
